2. I'd really like to see Dennis K or Jim Webb as VP but then
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 01:57 AM by truedelphi
They would lose their seats in the House and in the Senate where they are needed.

Thus, Bill Richardson is my choice.

4. Kent Conrad , Jack Reed, Napolitano
Edited on Sun Jan-27-08 01:58 AM by JI7
i'm leaning Napolitano but if McCain is the puke candidate it wont help us in Arizona although it may help in other states in the region and of course the women's vote.

Kent Conrad, Jack Reed, Joe Biden would help in terms of just support and issues. i think people will have a comfort level with them .

Obama / Richardson ticket
It would end the "a black guy cant get the Hispanic vote" argument.

Plus he has great foriegn policy experience.

Real experience, not the "I was in the WH" kind.

7. I would have voted Edwards, but I'd rather see him as AG.
I'd love to see a Justice Department that works for the people.

14. The only candidates that make sense to me are Warner or Webb
The others offer nothing. Dems are going to take those states, no matter who the nominee is.

15. Obama/Biden
That would be the best, but I don't think Biden would take the VP slot.

Second choice: Obama/Richardson

18. She's the governor of Kansas.
I think the arguements for her would be

1)She's a Dem who has won statewide in a Red State. She might not throw Kansas to us, but she'd force the pugs to fight for it(and possibly for Missouri as well).

2)A woman as running mate might bring back some HRC supporters who were mainly backing her as the "first woman prez". Might be a bit patronizing(matronizing?)to think in that terms, but it's gotta be in the back of some Obama strategists' minds.

19. My sig gives it away.
I think Jim Webb would be an excellent running mate for Obama. And of course we would get Virginia in the deal.

22. I don't think Webb should be it.
The main reason being I want to keep him in the Senate so we ensure control. If Obama wins we are already losing one seat, and I do not want to lose a second. Additionally, we are sending Mark Warner to the Senate as well. (I'm from Virginia.) I think Obama can flip Virginia on his own with the help of Mark Warner, amd I think Gov. Kaine has already endorsed Obama. However, if Webb leaves the Senate I am not sure who we can field to replace him.

I voted for Biden, but I do not think he is over all ideal. Someone suggested Clark and that is good, but a woman as VP would also be nice. Hillary will not accept it, of course, but it could go a long way toward healing a divide and helping women rally behind Obama.

A Hispanic Woman would be ideal. :P

Quick! Find us a qualified Hispanic Woman who could make a good VP and who is preferably a current or former Governor who might also have a of lot Foreign Policy Experience! :P (How about we just give Bill Richardson a sex change? :P)
