For the Edwards folks tonight

You saw a man with a vision for America, and you liked what you saw. Through your diligence, and your fervor, and your belief, you took him farther down the road than many of us thought possible.

With you at his side, he brought people in small towns and large cities all across this nation to their feet, and left them with a hope that they hadn't had seen for years. With an oratorical skill that few possess he showed us all what it means to be a real live caring human being. His concern for this nation was real, his emotion heartfelt, and his desire genuine.

From this Clark supporter, and from many others, I commend you all. Let the hurt heal, then join the fray when you are ready. We are now one against the enemy, and we will prevail.

5. I second this
From this Kucinich(but soon to be Kerry too) supporter I would just like to commend you all and congratulate your candidate on a great campaign...I have a feeling that this isnt the last we'll see of Edwards and I would fully support him on a ticket with Kerry...he'd make an excellent VP

8. Thanks, DB. I'm disappointed, but not too sad. It was a helluva ride.
NOBODY thought JRE would get this far. And the way he did it makes me, and all his supporters so proud. This is the hope and optimism we still have for America. And yes, we will prevail.

10. Yep, he ran a thoroughly class campaign. He's a smart man, he's a
decent man, and he's obviously a man who's not afraid of hard work (look how he changed his own life, worked hard to become a lawyer). He's got a lot of great ideas, and he wants to improve the lives of average Americans. All in all, he was an excellent candidate. We were very lucky this election year. We had ten people who were willing to put their lives on hold, put themselves through grueling campaigns, and to stand up and take the shots that the press kept taking at them. I definitely am not a Lieberman supporter, but I have to say that he has his good points too. I am just a little fuzzy on what they are.

I was, and am, a Clark supporter and I can honestly say that it still hurts sometimes that he had to drop out of the race. But I can also say that my respect for the man grew when he decided that he had no chance at the nomination, and he gracefully bowed out of the race.

I can't imagine a democratic administration that didn't have a place for men like Clark and Edwards.

11. Well done Mr. Edwards
Good sentiments everyone. I've been a Kerry supporter from the start, but I'm proud of all our candidates. Edwards was a fine campaigner and he'll be a valuable asset in the upcoming Kerry administration, either as VP or AG.

And hey, if it's Edwards in 2012 (or God forbid 2008 if the shit hits the fan), I'm down with that!

12. My sympathies to Edwards supporters..
I haven't exactly been nice to John, but I know how you feel, a lot of us do, and your guy outlasted most of the "other" candidates!

Best speaker in the campaign, hands down. Best retail politician I've seen in a while, he is really gifted. He obviously spoke to a lot of people to do as well as he did. Always be proud of your Candidate.

14. And another.
As I watch Kerry and Theresa smootching a bit.

Kerry has been very classy toward Edwards tonight. Two class acts who would make a helluva ticket.
