1. Clark was my man but
I've got to go with Dean as being most impressive, he gave all the Democratic candidates a backbone.

3. I hadda go with Kerry, not because he won but ...
... because he came back from the DEAD with a tactically perfect campaign once he dumped Lehane, et al and brought on Mary Beth Cahill.

Kerry literally did not make one mistake after November, when one mistake is all it would've taken to ruin his prospects.

4. Howard dean - hands down
The media and the establishment tried to ignore him until they were absolutely forced to pay attention. Howard Dean showed us what Democracy should be and what it can be. He showed us that we have the power to change this country, one vote and $70 at a time.

Thanks Gov Dean!

6. Got to hand it to Dean
Hopefully he's changed the party for more than just the moment. But I like Edwards' stump speech the best. ("And then there's one ... for YOU." Can't get it out of my head!)

11. Dean prior to the implosion was awesome.
Edited on Tue Mar-02-04 08:45 PM by JHBowden
The campaign was original, always on the initiative, mobilized hordes of voters, and did a great job getting a clear message out. They started with seven people and 150K, which makes the rise from worst to first even more impressive. Most importantly, the Dean campaign served as a catalyst to mobilize to remove Bush. It is unfortunate the communications errors, poor policy positions, financial mismanagement, and gaffes added to the degree they did.

13. I liked
the way Kerry fought back when the repugs came after him.

I was impressed with the upbeat campagn Edwards ran. Frankly he made me good.
