Help Me with this... Specifically.. What did Bill Clinton say that would stir up racial divides?
The media has been driving this "Black" & "White" racial thing like a pack of dogs. They are salivating over this.... but I still can't pick out one thing Clinton said that was racially divisive. He hit him hard on certain things...but not about race. Even Craig Crawford said this morning it was driven by the media...and that he couldn't pick out one thing that was said.

by the way... I am a Obama voter. (just worried that our party will fall into the trap...the media likes to set.)

1. It's largely a media creation.
But, a lot of people get their "news" from the media, so plenty of people bought into it.

2. And if they are doing it now...
what will they do when or if he is the nominee..They love John Mc Cain after all he is a Maverick... By the way I have yet to see what they are claiming to be racially divisive.

3. Nothing. You're right, it's all media driven. Male owned media.

6. Don't worry about it ....
You're a little "late", my dear.
OLD NEWS!!
If you don't "get it", you don't get.
Evidently, you didn't get it. It's water under the bridge now.
Time to move on.
If you're not READING the news everyday, you'll miss stuff.
If I were you, I certainly would NOT rely on television.
Maybe if you read the blogs here, you can "catch up".
Good luck!
(READ more and turn OFF that TV! ... that might help you.)

13. How fucking condescending.
And since you seem to be so in the know, why don't YOU explain it?

Or are you just blowing hot air?

8. Pure and Simple: The Media saw Bill Clinton's presence
as a threat to Obama. Any words uttered would be parced
to be racist.

10. Nothing
It's been mostly media spin. Irresponsible media spin. Divisive media spin.

Isn't it interesting that the media didn't seem to have a problem with such obviously bigoted comments such as Bill Bennett's "aborting black babies will lower the crime rate" bon mot - and, in fact, it was those who objected to them that the press accused of playing the race card. Yet whenever Bill Clinton criticized Obama - even though the criticism had absolutely nothing to do with race, either overtly or in code - they accused him and Hillary of "playing the race card" and "injecting race into the campaign."

It was the PRESS, not the Clintons, who injected race into this campaign - they started doing it more than a year ago.

11. It's in wikipedia, the entry right after where GW Bush specifically
said that Saddam Hussein was involved with the Sept 11 attacks.

12. It sounds like voters think Clinton "dissed" Obama personally
instead of talking issues. There is some resentment that Clinton refers to Obama as an elequant young African American - more is being read into that statment by at least some African Americans than I might read into it as a caucasion.

14. It was more Clinton surrogates than Bill or Hillary.
Other than the MLK comment, the Clintons are too smart to do it themselves.
