Republicans are defenseless against Hillary Clinton
<snip>

For years during the Clinton administration Republicans not only attacked Bill Clinton, but they made some of the most nasty and neverendingly rude and insulting comments about Hillary Clinton, and even Chelsea Clinton. I remember being amazed over and over at Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, and all the others, even Republicans I know personally who picked up and delighted in these unfair and cruel insults of a sitting President, the first lady, and the first daughter.

Thinking they were slinging mud that would stick to Bill Clinton forever they piled on to the point that it finally just lost all its power. Everyone had heard it so much that they just got bored of it and ignored it. You can see them trying all over the country still. In radio talk shows vitriolic people call in to talk about how they hate Hillary Clinton for multiple reasons, but all these reasons are really personal attacks. They just do not have the shock or the force they used to.

Why? Because now after 16 years of this kind of abuse and undermining of the democratic process, the Republicans have made people immune to Hillary Clinton criticism. They have nothing left to say. We have all heard it all before, and we see someone running for president who has had to bear the weight of this kind of unfair attack for so long that even her worse enemies have a grudging respect for her though they would never admit it.

3. You're right. They can't drive up her negatives that way. Anyone who would
be influenced by that has already made up his mind. And the majority view her positively, despite the smear attempts.

4. Exactly. By now, most people, except for maybe
younger voters who really don't remember the 90's that well have made up their mind about her. If she becomes the nominee, all the GOP has is a rehash of all the stuff they accused them of in the 90's. She has been through the wringer and she has survived.

9. They've thrown everything they had at her. She's immune.
Add to that, they are OBSESSED with her, which never makes for good judgment.

11. Hillary needs to worry about THE LEFT
Fuck the Repugs.
If Hillary gets elected (BIG MISTAKE) and dosen't pull our troops out of Iraq COMPLETELY within ONE YEAR there will be hell to pay!
You keep thinking Hillary's only problem will be with the "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy" but mark my word there will be thousands marching on Washington if she DOSEN'T BRING THE TROOPS HOME!

Don't think? Wait 'till the Convention next summer - it won't just be the freepers raising a ruckus!

p.s. Bill Clinton lost all my respect when he backed out on his promise to pardon Peltier and instead pardoned one of his cronies ....

12. I often have felt that many of these GOP attackers have invaded this forum
This HATE CLINTON business all started right after Bill Clinton said: "TAX THE RICH".

So why on earth do so called "Democrats" hate Bill and Hillary Clinton?
It would seem as if they would worship them.

14. They were the first to prove that campaigning against someone doesn't work
You have to campaign FOR someone. Just as ABB wasn't good enough in 2004.
