Dems are playing into their hands.
When I first heard Obama and Hillary announce that they would be running I asked why.I asked myself why,at this time. I knew if he ran it would be about race and if she ran it would be all about Bill. As far as I am concerned this was not the time after we have been dealing with the Bushit for all of these years. I thought that the Cons would have no chance of winning now,I don't know. We already have to deal with the fact that a lot of people in this country don't even realize half of what the Cons have done and now we are all fighting among ourselves over how someone is running their campaigns. Most of this is the media picking and picking and trying to get a response from both parties so that it will be fun for them in the meantime the country is going to hell.

A lot of this stuff is manufactured by the Republicons they have been spreading the lies about Obama being a muslim and other things way before now. They have been talkin Hillary down for years now saying that she would be running so we already know what their agenda is and some of the uninformed are taking the bait. As I said in the beginning. Biden was the best choice and the media made sure that he would be out of the race, they have gotten what they have wanted all along.

1. I will be surprised if the Dem candidate wins in November the way its going now
Dems are doing a such a thorough job of tearing down and destroying each others credibility and reputation and honesty and integrity that I will be amazed if we manage to pull off a win against McCain or Romney.

Paul Kane: I think Democrats up here on Capitol Hill forgot how just plain tough Bill Clinton could be. Remember, for the last 7 years Clinton has been party elder statesman, he's been the guy who jumped in and told people to cool it down, tone down the rhetoric. but, back in the '90s, this was the toughest Democrat alive. He invented the phrase "War Room". Now they're remembering that side of Clinton. Sure, they'd like to cool things down a bit. Then there are folks like Joe Biden, who I spoke to yesterday and who undertands the old mantra that politics is war without blood. What does Biden think of this fighting? He called it "patty-cake."

lol -patty-cake! Damn..I really miss him!

7. And that is what the media and the repubs...
don't like. They don't want Hillary to win because they are afraid of Bill. I want someone who can bring it to the republicons. I have been waiting for this for years even though my first choice is not in the race, I wanted to see him go against them so bad.. All of this crying we are seeing from Obama shows me he will not be able to bring it to them the way it should be done...

4. Bad timing.
There's been talk for years that Hillary would run, so we kind of knew that was coming. She's certainly intelligent and capable - very impressive.

Obama came out of nowhere and gave us hope for a real change. Initially, his lack of experience (years wise) was actually appealing -- he wasn't as entrenched in the game as those who had been around for awhile.

But then I began seriously considering who we need for our country NOW. We are at a place where we've never been before in our history, as is the world.

And, as you mentioned, plenty of Americans think that the Reps are doing just fine, so we need someone who can attract crossover votes because the Dems HAVE to get back the WH.

My concerns with Hillary (not including the Clinton Cloud that they are ruthless when it comes to "wining") is the factor that Repubs respond to negatively to her -- so few votes from them.

My concern with Obama, again, is that he doesn't have the chops and although I know I'll be jumped on because of this, a percentage of the people won't vote for him because he's black (or Muslim, as so many of them now seem to believe!)

In each area, Biden, to me, was the most qualified because of his hands-on experience and understanding of what we're up against.

We blew it, and I agree the media takes a big chunk of the responsibility. Look at what they're doing to Edwards now. (Pretty much nothing!)

If we weren't in Iraq PLUS going bankrupt PLUS pissing off even MORE of our allies PLUS and PLUS and PLUS... this would have been a fabulous, exciting time. But with a nominee who might LOSE Dem votes for whatever reason, I'm nervous about the outcome in November -- and beyond.

5. My daughter and I were just talking about this
Being we are so politically aware, we tend to forget about the voters who aren't really paying much attention and will cast a vote based on superficial impressions. We have to remember how many people voted for Bush TWICE. They are still out there.

8. And the media is making sure that they don't know...
they lead off every show talking about race,Obama and the Clintons and how they are so bad. The country needs to be reminded of what these insane, crazy, warmongering, thiefing, hypocritical assholes have done to this country, and a lot of these people don't even know the half of it.
