Rasmussen poll of Missouri:
Clinton 43%
Obama-24%

http://www.rasmussenreports.com.

RIght now, Obama is ahead in Georgia and Illinois. Senator Clinton seems poised to win 19 of the 21 Super Tuesday states at this moment and is ahead almost everywhere else including Alabama.

1. Obama just started advertising here in St. Louis within the week
Both Hillary and Edwards made trips here last week, while Obama has been absent of late, so perhaps the Obama camp will pick up in activity here after South Carolina.

28. KO: They've done the math and it won't end on Super Tuesday
Story is on now. Neither Obama nor Clinton will have enough delegates to clinch on Super Tuesday, even if one would sweep all states.

Depends if Clinton has enough delegates locked up.
If not, it could go to the convention, especially if Edwards stays in the race and acumulates delegates.

I don't expect Clinton to win 19 of 21 ST states but I'm a hopemonger, fired up and ready to go.

7. His only hopes
Obama isn't finished yet but let's use an analogy, it's the beginning of the 4th quarter and he's down 28-7. He needs to do 2 things:
1. If he wins S.C. tommorrow, he needs the speech of his lifetime. He needs to bring white voters back into the fold. He needs the media coverage to change starting then.
2. He needs his best debate performance ever on January 31.

Then,

He has a chance to at least survive Super Tuesday.

if that's the case. If she wins the caucus up here, I will be extremely surprised.

Given that the governor and our Senator Kerry are backing Obama, and the fact that the primaries are not closed.

Throwing this out there...
If Obama were to win S.C. 47-31 say and carry 23% of Whites along with carrying all key demographics, what do you all think that would do to the race? Would it shake it up significantly?

And even if the delegates aren't seated HRC made the brilliant gambit of saying they should be seated so everybody will be paying attention to it...

18. Yes, very much so.
I think you'll see a huge swing in many if not most of the states.

I already have a good feeling on how the Clintons will spin it, and it may just work, but I think only for some states. This is going to be dirty, but I don't think the Clintons will dominate Super Duper Tuesday as it seems they will today. At best I think they'll come out of the blood bath that is Feb. 5th with a chunk of delegates, but no where near sewing it up. Depending on how things shake out, they may be lucky to break evenish that day.

13. State count doesn't mean jack. It's all about the DELEGATES
Hillary may have "won" Nevada, but she still got the same (or one less, depending on who you talk to) number of delegates as Obama.

Hillary can win a dozen Delawares, but if Obama wins just one California he'll still have more delegates.

19. No- In California,,,
If he doesn't change the dynamic I don't see how he can win...African American voters and voters earning over $100,000.00 a year does not a plurality or majority make...

20. I read a post by a blogger in KC
She said Sen. McCaskill (D-MO) is running ads telling Republicans they can re-register and vote for Obama. She has endorsed Obama. She also received campaign funds from HopePac.

Sen McCaskill was one of the 12 Democrats to vote FOR telecom immunity. jfyi.

21. As for Kansas City, this is important:
Kansas City Missouri will have an open primary on Feb. 5. That means independents can vote for whoever they want. It has been reported in the media that voters (independents) elsewhere have split their votes between Obama and McCain.

In Kansas City, we want those voters to choose Obama, not McCain. So here is what the public needs to know:

McCain has said he will close Gitmo and bring the Gitmo residents to Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, which is just a hair outside a major metropolitan area. That major metropolitan area is Kansas City, Missouri, which encompasses Kansas City, Kansas, Overland Park, Kansas, Olathe, Kansas, Lees Summit, Missouri, North Kansas City, Missouri, Independence, Missouri, and other towns. He has recently announced this plan in one of the debates, if I am not mistaken.

Moving the Gitmo residents to the Kansas City area heightens the possibility of a terrorist attack here. The Kansas caucuses and the Missouri primaries are soon approaching, and it would be a good idea if all Kansans -- and Kansas City Missourians -- understood what McCain wishes to do to us.

(I'm repeating this in other thread so plenty of people will see it and pss it along. It needs to get out to the voters here in Missouri and Kansas.)

25. These polls are rather worthless.
The candidates haven't even started campaigning there yet.

And with 33% still undecided, a 19-point lead +/- MOE means nothing.
