"The Clintons" A New 2008 Reality Hit Show!

BILL AND HILLARY HAVE FILMED A TELEVISION PILOT:

Bill and Hillary are not just coming out to California for the upcoming political primary, but to also sit down with television executives here to discuss what would be a fall-back career position in television should their attempt to return to the White House fail this fall. In fact, a pilot for the series has already been filmed, edited and is in the can under the current working title of "The Clintons" and will be pitched to ABC, NBC, CBS and to Fox within the next two weeks.

One network executive was not shy in his enthusiasm for the project. "Clearly, 'The Clintons' would be a property with many attractive advantages. The show would have its own built in "buzz" which guarantees an immediate and sizable audience! Plus, we have the high-name recognition factor and, naturally, it would be a 'reality based format' so we are not encumbered with many of the union hindrances that plague our other properties."

LIE-DETECTORS?

While details on the pilot are sketchy, some of the format has already leaked out within Tinseltown. Apparently, keeping in tradition with the imitative nature of television entertainment, the format will involve the use of lie detectors, much like Fox's current hit "Moment of Truth" which had a debut audience of 23 million viewers. "Think of it like 'The Osbournes Meet the Moment of Truth' said Joe Hill, a disgruntled and on-strike writer.

Mr. Hill, who recently lost his home to foreclosure, had served as a part-time caterer at one of the meetings between the Clintons and Fox Entertainment honchos at a Fox sound stage. Hill related that he caught a glimpse of the actual set for "The Clintons" which included "two very tacky Victorian reproduction chairs facing each other both connected to wires and an extremely large polygraph machine with gigantic digital L.E.D. displays". According to Hill, the set was "sort of a high-tech cross between 'The Price is Right' and Pat Robertson's 700 Club."

CLINTONS? "THEY'RE A PAGE RIGHT OUT OF HISTORY!"

Naturally, rumors have already begun to swell though out Hollywood as to who would be guests on "The Clintons" and who would compose the shows theme song? Who would be their key advertisers? But, that all will have to wait until after the Clintons finish their current project which is pushing a re-run of their old hit show from the 1990's. Stay tuned. Don't touch that dial. The Clintons may soon be coming to a town near you.
