What if the next president is Republican?
I'm not saying it will happen. In fact, the probability is next to nothing, given the sentiment towards Republicans across the country.

But let's say, out of some freak event (election rigging, maybe a terrorist attack), the Republican takes the White House.

What do we do then? Can the country take 4 more years of Republican rule? I think America is precariously close to tipping over after the last disastrous 8 years. (Assuming it hasn't already tipped over).

Frankly, I don't know if I'd be capable of coping with it.

It would mean that we have lost
and that there is no hope to be a democracy again. I will move out into the woods turn off the cable and wait for the stormtroopers to come get me.

Do you really think they want the WH? They've already made their money, and are getting ready to leave.

6. Economically we might be SOL anyway
Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 05:17 PM by lastliberalintexas
That's just a statement on the precarious nature of the US economy, not directed at any of the people running.

On edit- I hit submit too soon. Whether a dem or repub is elected, what we need to do is what the conservatives did 40 years ago- organize locally and take back city councils, school boards and the like. Regardless of what happens nationally.

8. meh
My life won't change much.
America deserves another 8 years of neo-con rule. Perhaps then the sheeple will rise up and demand a fair deal (like a real new deal).
