Interesting breakdown of statistics in SUSA poll of SC (Edwards gaining in all demos)

which shows Obama leading with 44% Clinton 29% and Edwards 22%

*Black voters favor Obama with 73% to Clinton's 18% and Edwards 6%. Since 12/10 Clinton's share of black vote has fallen 21-points. Edwards has tripled (from 2 to 6%) and Obama has gone up by 17-points.

*Among white voters in SC, Clinton and Edwards are in a virtual deadheat with 37% for Clinton and 34% for Edwards. Obama receives a respectable 24% of the white vote. Since 12/10 Clinton's share of the white vote in SC has dropped 14-points. Edwards has risen 11-points and Obama has gone from 19% of the white vote to 24%.

*Among the Democratic vote in SC, Obama leads Clinton 50-31 percent with 17% for John Edwdards. Since 12/10 Obama has gained 8-points among DEM, Clinton has lost 13-points and Edwards has nearly doubled his support going from 9% to 17%.

*Among Independents in SC, Obama is in a statisitcal dead heat with Edwards 38-35 percent with Clinton at 23%. Since 12/10/07 Clinton has lost 15-points among indies. Obama has gained 7-points and Edwars has nearly doubled his support moving from 17% to 35% today.

Among Republicans who will vote in Dem primary--Edwards leads 33% to 25% for each Hillary and Obama. Clinton has lost 22-points since December 10, Obama has lost 9-points since December 10 and as in every other demographic Edwards has gained--16-points.
