NEW YORK - Democrat Hillary Clinton denied knowing Tony Rezko, an indicted Chicago businessman, on Friday after being told of a photograph that shows a smiling Clinton and her husband standing next to the man she called a "slum landlord" earlier this week.

"I don't know the man. I wouldn't know him if he walked in the door. I don't have a 17-year relationship with him," Clinton said, referring to her charge that Barack Obama, a rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, has a longstanding relationship with Rezko.

1. It is possible
that she doesn't "know" him. I am sure the Clintons took many, many photos during the course of their careers and I am sure they didn't "know" every single person they took the pictures with.

2. "I don't have a 17-year relationship with him," Didn't get $85,000.00 from him, either,
Amazing! Someone had a picture taken with the first couple! Scandal!

13. oh, nice try
they also bought into Obama's Hope and Change and New Politics b.s. and now people are seeing he plays just as dirty and desperate and dishonestly as the rest of them. People don't like being fooled, especially by a smiling "yes we can" politician who's proven to be just as sleazy as everyone else.

10. But, but, but. . .
. . .fact checker debunked it. LOL Well the reality is there is by the standards the Clintons are trying to hang Rezko around Obama's neck this does stick. Its a simple question, did he or did he not host a fund raiser for Hillary?

12. Doesn't look simple to me.
You can try to minimize this today but, if she's nominated, it will come up, and it smells bad.

16. We are the same side on this one. . .it is simple. . .
. . .the folks citing factcheck are debunking some of Paul's more outrageous claims, that is why I posed the simple question did he or did he not host a fundraiser for her? The answer is yes and that puts in the same guilt by association game she is playing with Obama.

11. unless she wrote letters for him in an official capacity
to get him and his buddy -- both having no construction experience -- a $43 million tax-payer funded contract to build low-income housing (which fell apart 5 years later owing much credence to the "slumlord" moniker) and then still accepted upwards of $200,000 in campaign contributions from him, this is not only a non-story, but a desperate attempt from Barack to deflect from his long-standing association with a man under Federal Indictment.

"A" for effort, though.
