Zogby SC: Voters coming home to Hillary ?
Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 10:06 AM by SaveElmer
Since much was made of Edwards one day bounce in this poll on Wednesday...thought I would post this from Zogby

But while the Edwards surge is impressive, hidden within these three-day rolling averages may be the real story once the votes are counted Saturday night: a potential New Hampshire-like late surge of voters coming home to Clinton. From John Zogby:

Thursday's polling alone had Obama leading with 36%, but Clinton was just five points back at 31% (a good day for her). Edwards came in with 19% yesterday alone. The one-day sample was not enough to draw sweeping conclusions, but it is an indicator that this race continues to change.

6. Say what you will but if Edwards were not in the race in SC it would not even be close.
Hillary would win it hands down.

13. The sooner he drops out, the faster the party can come together.
Same thing for Obama. If he loses in SC or can't win another state after SC, he should drop out.

11. Zogby's poll contains some statements about Edwards increasing his percentages

but I think that has more to do with the lack of alternate candidates to HRC or Obama. Also, just because Bill Clinton, as the poll also states, has high favorability, could be for a lot of reasons outside of the campaign, and does not necessarily it's going to translate into votes for HRC. The state of panic in the Clinton campaign is more telling. Also the fact that Obama holds a 49 percent tally of voters overall, and blacks 55%
