OK, it's the last day before voting in SC; does anyone really think
there won't be fireworks of some kind, something ugly flaring up? I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

6. An Edwards win would be good for the party.
For one thing it would send a clear and direct message to certain individuals that these personal attacks based on a candidate's race or gender will not be tolerated.

It might even get through Bill Clinton's thick head.

I think that things will become even uglier between Sunday and Super Tuesday. It would be nice if democrats would recognize the wisdom of Ben Franklin's saying, "When passions drive, let reason hold the reins." But even on DU, normally a site recognized for stability and rational thought, I suspect there will be passions driving, and hostility holding the reins.
