I stand with Senator Clinton
and all of our candidates, actually.

But I think it's important to say, considering the anti-Clinton wave that's festering in this forum.

I won't be forced to conform with the ABC crowd.

37. I prefer Edwards, but Hillary does have a pair...
...where Obama seems to whine and cry about everything. Where I once preferred Obama, the whining and crying about everything tells me he would get eaten alive in the general. That and His supporters rarely, if ever, defend him on the issues. Everything is always smear, attack, smear, attack. Their adoption of republican talking points to attack the Clinton's is the last straw. When democrats start using republican smears to attack democrats, that does it for me.

29. You haven't been here long.......that's an illusion!
I've seen threads here with 100's of Hillary supporters, they just don't care to get into the frey......can't say I blame them.

When you have a message forum like ours with over 100,000.00 members it's best not to generalize.

I will say that Obama supporters do seem to spend an unusual amount of time here though.

There are perhaps 70 of them who regularily engage in it. There are over 100k members on this board. Do the math.

13. Not a supporter, but I feel the need to defend against the RW talking points
expressed here. No sewer has been left unturned - none!
And the fact that MSM is supporting Obama so unanimously while sitting over the simmering high profile Fitzgerald investigation. From CNN to Limpballs everyone seems to be egging us on to pick a candidate with a potential scandal on his hands...
And so many on this side cooperate fully...
That's not to say I wouldn't support any nominee - or that at times I need to defend the other side from the occasional indefensible post here,
But I find that my fairness posting keeps me busy mostly defending the Clintons. Between MSM and the left hatred - some breathing room for the facts is needed.

Will the Obama crowd stick with the Dems in order to beat the GOP out of the White House?

yeah right, it doesn't matter

35. I would love to hear about the rally....do tell please!
That's soooo sad, what the hell happened to this forum. I was gone a few weeks and came back to a lot of crap. I suspect it happened after BO won Iowa and the media annointed him president and the fever spread like wildfire....I couldn't believe the MSM saying Hillary was finished...it was sooo bizarre and phony.

This forum use to be so informative and useful, it's really gone down hill.

Well, if you feel like it, please post about the rally, I know many of us would love to hear about it......

I say it's time to call a truce......LOL...........POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!

24. I'll swallow hard and vote for HRC in the GE if she wins
But I won't be glad to see her get nominated. She's too DINO. The party needs to get back to its FDR roots but in a 21st Century way. We need a president who will take on the wealthy and entitled, not play their game.

That said, she's about fifty times better than the best Republican so I'll support her if she's the nominee.

30. I do too. The media's disgusting. Russert asks Romney how he'll run against 'The Clinton's, 'Bill'
It was like watching a bad vaudeville act, 'Romney & Russert'. Russert setting up gag with his stupid, obviously slanted 'question' degrading Hillary's candidacy, and Romney coming back with an idiotic 'punchline' (too stupid to repeat).

No matter which candidate Dem's support, we all have to pull together and ignore this crud from the media, from the Wingnuts. They are the who've been putting out the bait.

Both Obama and Hillary campaigns stopped it a few hours ago, pulling their ads and toning it back down again. Put the focus back on BUSH and the Republicans.

We all need to do the same and get through the primary, then rally.

Because we will mop the floor with those clowns who were on tonight. It was so pathetic. They are going DOWN.

of all things "Clinton."

IF HRC gets the dem nod, it will be a battle of The Smarmy Smear-Machine Titans: The DLC vs. The RNC.

The FIX will be fully implemented: the political ruling class WINS while the non-investor classes LOSE (and lose big - see financial RAPE) ... continuing M$M consolidation ... bread and circuses for the chattering classes with a side of puke-fest INFO-tainment posing as "NEWS."

Edited on Fri Jan-25-08 02:32 AM by ShortnFiery
Our partisan blinders and sense of party unity have, in the past, shaded US from "the dark side" of The Clinton Mystique.

To be brief, their time on the stage has come and gone. By their arrogance, sense of entitlement and, in general, mean-spirited "take no prisoners" ambitions, The Clintons exacerbate the divisiveness and distrust of their persons.

IMO, by their "divide and conquer" campaigning, HRC has truly returned to her roots as the quintessential Goldwater Girl.

36. Who is forcing?
Perhaps people make a case, or present a thesis on the undesirability of a Clinton nomination for one reason or another. You are free to reject those arguments for your own reason, or even irrationally. What is the worst I, or any other DUer can do? Call you a stubborn bonehead who does not care if our party and country go down the tubes? Is the threat of that, or even harsher invective, enough to look like "force" to you?

Why is it any more necessary to stand up to an anti-Clinton wave than it would be to stand up to an anti-Bush wave or an anti-Lieberman wave?

43. it's a political force
Force is anything that causes acceleration of mass (roughly, I'm not a physicist). Is it wrong to extend that to the political arena? A political force can cause movement (in this case for a candidate).

I feel like the Anti-Clinton rhetoric is being shoved down my throat, and I'm not going to allow it to affect me. That's how I'm resisting the force. I will not go along with it just because it's seemingly popular to do so.

As for your last question, that would be up to those who choose to do so. Would you not agree?

44. IMO, The Clintons to our Democratic Party are like relatives who come for 3 days and end up staying
for 3 MONTHS. You love them and don't wish to disown them. YET you are just so FUCKING TIRED of the same old B.S. family relationships.

I could respect HRC as a Senator from New York and Bill as my former President. But for Heaven's sake, take that last bow and shag your grasping, overly clingy and ambitious asses off of the National Stage.

I have honest to goodness, CLINTON BURN-OUT condition. No, I don't want them to go away mad, but they are TRASHING our PARTY because of their own deluded ambitions for unbridled power. It's sick and not in with the traditions of our Democratic Party.
