Voter Beware

In the hopes that people will bother to read this I'll keep this brief though it goes against my nature.

Please all step outside of all of the platforms you've read, and individual speeches you've heard that have turned you on with shiny words and carefully crafted statements.

The game of politics is as old as humanity, and usually the frontrunners and winners are the ones who play the game masterfully. But NO ONE should be admired for playing the game. Everyone who supports a game player rationalizes the fact that their politician changes their stance alot and "speaks to their audience on their terms", or bashes their opponent or stretches the truth in the name of the game.

But make no mistake, just as you applaud your candidate playing others - so do others applaud them playing you.

Sorry a bit confusing in the wording... I'm no poet. But the point is that truly worthy leaders don't PLAY to win they speak from the heart. Their messages are consistent and come from a deep and true desire to help humanity. Every evil leader in history thought that they themselves were just. Every great leader in history knew that justice was done by pursuing causes that were "held to be self evident".

Simply put when you see a coworker steal from the office or another coworker do you still trust them? Why is it ok for a candidate to act dishonorably in the name of the game? Do you really think that they are going to honor their commitments to you when they do get power?

Oh but it's ok, they're only doing that to those people... they're only massaging the corporations and warmongers because they have to in order to achieve the lofty goals that they sold you on. Or is it the other way around? Just please do us all a favor and think about it. Please.

2. I would have voted for Dennis

Shame he dropped out. Though I didn't agree with many of his policies at least he was a good person who cared deeply about society. He said what he believed in consistently even though he certainly knew that it wasn't always in his best interests.

And you know what he changed the debate. He did have a huge positive effect on this country by running.

A great leader speaks the plain issues plainly IMHO. Life, the economy, war, etc are not so complicated as shady politicians make it out to be. Everything I needed to know about politics I learned in preschool ;) Don't cheat, don't steal, don't lie, don't hit, don't throw poop at others, sharing is good, everyone is special, nature is good, and nap time is the best time of day.
