My prediction of the Republican Ticket.
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 06:08 PM by MNDemNY
Rudy Giuliani will leave the race before 2-5, citing health reasons. Rudy, Thompson, and Keyes will endorse McCain. He will go on to win the nomination. That leaves the VP spot. They certainly can't go with the "get off my lawn !!!!" ticket. So they need a "young" candidate.
That choice will be Condoleeza Rice. Any comments?

2. You don't Want My Comments---I Feel Sick
Condi couldn't get elected to anything. They would pick Huckabee to pull in the religious whackos.

11. Governor Mark Sanford of South Carolina
1) He's Southern.
2) He's solid evangelical rightie, helps McCain there.
3) He's solid low-tax, low-spending, helps McCain with the tax cut crowd.
4) Young, decent-looking and likeable, three things McCain isn't.

13. No way on Rice. McCain will win the Presidency handily regardless
of who the Dems nominate now. A Condi pick for VP would put that win in severe jeopardy.

18. I think Romney wins Florida and McCain runs out of money
Romney and Lindsey Graham would make a lot of sense to the GOP. All the other candidatse hat him and see little upside to jumping on a ticket that looks DOA....He needs a Southerner.

20. McCain seems like the likely candidate.
I doubt very much he would pick Condi as a running mate.

I'm hoping he picks Lieberman. That would be a winning combination....for us. :D

23. If Hillary is our nominee
I think they'll choose Liddy Dole - my crappy "Senator" or maybe Kay Bailey Hutchison. If it's Obama, they might go with someone who they consider to be "ethnic". Either way, I don't think they really give a shit about this election and they're just letting the grumpy old man and the nut jobs play in the sandbox so that when Jeb runs in 2012 he'll look "sane" by comparison. :puke:

Actually, I don't have a clue.

Evangelicals don't trust McCain and this is the only way he could mollify them.
