Gov. Sebelius's endorsement of Obama in the works
Obama seeks Sebelius endorsement: Washington Post
UPDATE, 10:03 a.m.: A statement from Nicole Corcoran, press secretary to the governor:

"I can tell you with one hundred percent certainty that no endorsement of any candidate will come from Governor Kathleen Sebelius until after she has delivered the response to the State of the Union.

When Speaker Pelosi contacted the Governor about delivering the response, it was an important requirement of the invitation. So, after January 28th – Governor Sebelius will be able to endorse in the presidential race if she chooses to do so."

The Washington Post says the Barack Obama campaign is working for the Kansas caucus vote, Feb. 5, and may soon get an endorsement from Gov. Kathleen Sebelius.

11. That's an interesting thought....
Gerald Ford predicted that we would have a woman president, and that would she be a VP, but would only become president because something would happen to the male president.

It's in his book. Released after he died. It's called 'Write it when I'm gone', by Thomas DeFrank.

4. Hillary doesn't get support from the DLC haters
Obama does because they have been snookered into believing he represents some sort of break with the DLC.

8. They have the same stance on Iraq now
What is the DLC's position on ethanol? Isn't Obama pro-ethanol? When did the DLC come out against lobbyist reform?

Even if you are right what is implicit by omission is Obama has no big differences with the DLC.

12. "implicit by omission"?
that's pretty lame.

Obama is pro-Ethanol. DLC was anti-Ethanol when it mattered, they've since become much more friendly as Oil prices have skyrocketed.

DLC and Hillary didn't support some of the Lobbyist reforms Obama cosponsored.

"Obama has no big differences with the DLC."

I would hope this was the case since Hill and the DLC call themselves Democrats.

However, Obama is his own man. He is not beholden to the DLC power structure.
Hillary cannot say as much.

9. I wish Sebelius was running. It would have been nice to have a good female candidate
in the mix this year.

10. If she endorses Obama it will look good for him in ND, SD, and KS caucuses
on Feb 5.
