26. John is giving a great interview. Calling for pledge for unity after the primary.
No more of this talk about some candidate not getting another candidate's voters. The economy, helping the middle class and poor. Obama and Clinton adopting so much of what he's saying. How people come over to him after they watch debates.

Edwards taking on Stupidhead O'Reilly.

39. I Got My Stuff Long Ago... Shirts Are Good Quality... My Problem Is This...
I live in Florida and since the shirts are heavy, and we've had such warm weather for such a long time. I can't wear mine without sweating like a horse!

I'm not gloating because the weather here is warm and sunny and snow and storms must be a bitch. I'm just saying, sometimes I yearn to see an actual "Fall" with beautiful trees turning.

35. As Usual John Edwards Showed Hi Mettle... Lou Dobbs ACTUALLY Mentioned
his name while he talked with Wolfie in his (intro for HIS show) when he said John Edwards was the ONLY candidate who came close having a "real plan" regarding the economy!

SHOCK! SHOCK! SHOCK! I tell you... Dobbs doesn't give THAT kind of praise to very many people. Even though a couple of days earlier he said about the debate that "Edwards looked like he was glad to be there."

My "bones" are saying something to me, Edwards "DUN GUD" and MSM is feeling the heat (go where the story points you) and honchos are screaming "get that story!" I could be completely bonkers here, my objectivity in question for sure, but he's had more "GOOD COVERAGE" since the last Debate than he's had in months.

I'm not a "hope" kind of person, it slipped somewhere and I can't find it, but the feel on the ground is being felt by journalists, their bloodhound noses sense something. I don't trust them, and it all can turn on a dime. But I enjoy looking forward to seeing what he has to say, one on one where the "facade" isn't necessary. He's "smarter" than many give him credit for, he IS taking FULL advantage of the top two. It's evident to even me, but a "good player" finds an opening and runs with the ball. The GOAL line means everything! That old sports metaphor, it so effective for some reason.

But given that opportunity, he's coming across as a very relaxed, but picking your mind when he's being talked to. That plus says he doesn't want to "bull-shit with you, but if a good deal is offered, he's open to a "proposal." Good lawyers, especially ones who have gone up against the big guys, know the terrain.

Just my balloon floating out there.

40. He came across great!
So refreshing, open and direct. I hope a lot of people saw that.

I know what you mean, the winds have shifted and he's getting noticed. I think the reason is because Hil/bama are making a mess of themselves, and created an opening. John was ready and prepared to step in. Hopefully this will continue!

Good interview!

51. Michael Moore
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 08:41 PM by patrioticintellect
Michael Moore has a serious personal problem.

He has supported voting your conscience before and backed Ralph Nader. Then, in 2004, he decided that was not a good strategy. He joined the anybody but a Republican and voted for John Kerry, the most disappointing Democratic nominee in the last few decades. He released Sicko and hoped the candidates would pick up his plan. But have you heard Kucinich's story about how they refused to incorporate single-payer into the Democratic platform? It happened in 2000 and 2004. Edwards, Gore, Lieberman, and Kerry all played a role in killing American's hopes for true health care reform. So...

Come fall, the only candidate running who supported Michael Moore's single-payer prescription for America was Dennis Kucinich. Now, there are a few reasons he chose not to support Dennis.

1) Dennis could never win.
2) He used to have a huge crush on Hillary which he wrote about in a book published in the 1990s.

So, what's a guy to do? I guess he has to pick the guy who seems to be the most angry about the last seven years but still has mainstream media attention.

Yet, couldn't Moore have campaigned for Dennis and done America a huge favor?

Needless to say, I do not like Moore the pragmatist. And I don't think anyone should because ever since 2004 when he chose to give up on his ideals he has been lying to himself.

52. Edwards still has the best healthcare plan of the top three, IMO.
Also, he still has the best economic plan of the three.

Also, he has been leading the debate, is camera-friendly, and isn't turning people off anywhere nearly as much as the other two front-runners.

So... Michael Moore aside... Edwards is STILL the best, IMO.

:)

The corporate media won and got Dennis to quit battling for a spot in the debates because the corporations and AIPAC are smearing him in his district where four Democratic challengers what his seat in Congress so...

I really could care less what Democrat wins this presidential election.
