Getting a little sweaty there, jpgpenn? Perhaps you're remembering Edwards' 30 point, 5 day swing upwards in WI?

5. I'll admit amusement, but then I'll surrender.
This is somewhat amusing, but if I'm to be completely honest, I will admit that when Clark went on the offensive after running a clean campaign, I stuck up for him. He never said he would "never" go into attack mode... just that he "wouldn't at this time" stray from his positive message.

Edwards has a job to do. I'm a Kerry supporter, but I recognize that Edward's job is to beat Kerry, and he has very little time to do so. He's tried the nice guy game, and it's failed him thus far. With the exception of his backyard, and a freeper state, he's struggled to show any real momentum.

Now, my amusement may take a sharp turn upward again, if Kerry does to Edwards what he's been doing to Bush each time he's tried to attack him. If so, this will most likely backfire on Edwards, and seal the deal for Kerry.

These are two fine men. I'm glad they're sparring. May the best candidate win... tried by fire and ready for Rove.

6. I wish the original Du rules stood..
...which explicitly forbade terms which used slang/slander to characterize the candidates, and their supporters.

e.g. the candidates are/were
Senator Kerry
Senator Edwards
Govenor Dean
Congressman Kucinich
General Clark
Reverend Sharpton
Congressman Gephardt
Senator Graham

No matter who you support, it shows great disrespect to many when you make comments like ("Johnny Boy", or "Deaniacs", etc.)

8. Gosh, I thought Wes Clark beat Edwards in Oklahoma, jenk.
And it wasn't even his native state, albeit nearby, but nonetheless, a win for Clark over Edwards.

13. Bush only needed 537

Remember?

On the plus side, at least you're not arguing that he "tied for first." :)

Edwards also quit claiming it, once the vote was certified. :)

12. A question, jenk

One poster starts a thread about Edwards, yet you respond by:

a) painting all Clark supporters with the broad brush ("they've been waiting")

b) referring to Clark as a "weasel"

c) disparaging Kerry

And this helps elevate discourse exactly how???

10. Actually...
...he didn't say anything that he hasn't normally said.

The only thing that was different about yesterday was Edwards' look.

He looked agitated.

Might have had something to do with all of the talk about people making phone calls saying that he has already accepted the VP slot so they might as well vote for Kerry.

Hopefully those people did call the media and the Edwards campaign like we told them to, lol...

Of ANY of the rest of us. Clarkies are a good bunch, all in all, and we generally do not do this sort of thing. We've been where ya'll are and know that pain. Our sympathies to the Edwards supporters.

As for this person, you shame the General and yourself.
