why does barack literally control the entire debate?
it became a complete joke. Obama talked longer than ANYONE literally on every topic of debate. Does anyone have the ability to get total minutes (NOT seconds because they never are 30 seconds) for each participant? It was unbelievable.

he didn't have much of anything to say but generalize.

19. From your own definition "not figurative or metaphorical"
You're saying he "controlled" the debate literally? Asked all the questions, decided who could and couldn't speak? Selected all the camera angles? Decided when to go to commercial? That's what "literal" means.

12. Exactly. Clinton and Edwards set the tone. If they didn't get equal time, they have themselves
to blame.

I credit Blitzer with allowing all parties to respond to each attack.

11. I didn't think he did.
If he did, it was because he was put on the defensive the most often.

22. Successful debating skills
Every candidate would like a debate to be a monologue.

If Obama took more time, it means he succeeded.

another candidate continuously mis-represents and attacks another. The attacked gets the opportunity to respond.
