1. This is what an Obama spokesman said:

In a brief statement, Obama spokesman Bill Burton said the campaign consulted with South Carolina Democratic Party Chairwoman Carol Fowler, one of the initiators of the pledge, who “told us unequivocally she did not consider this to be in violation of {a} pledge made to the early states.”

“Both national cable networks told us it would be impossible for us to run advertising nationally that excluded only Florida,” Burton said.

2. If they consulted with one of the initiators of the pledge, and she said it was okay

Then how is this a violation. That's what I don't get.

Will Hillary seek a similar opinion before she shows up at campaign stops as her spokesperson is suggesting she might?

4. The loaded language is getting to me
Edited on Mon Jan-21-08 07:03 PM by LittleClarkie
If I suggest otherwise, then I'm "spinning," oblivious to Obama's "lies" and frankly "unbelievable"

Witness:

"Obama lies, Obama breaks the pledge, and Hillary is the demon because she says if the pledge is off, then it's off???

I swear, I was never going to vote for Obama because he is too inexperienced, but beyond that, he disgusts me with his whining and crying, his wussy "present" votes, and above all, that fact that his supporters all appear to be THE most immature whiners, fabricators, and backdoor apologists I have EVER seen in my 20 yrs of watching politics and assisting candidates in elections.

Truly unfuckingbelievable. At what point to you Obama folks get the clue that you are really making your candidate look truly awful???"

Can't we have a discussion on these things without all this name-calling? So the Obama supporters aren't rolling over and playing dead on the issue, but answering back. That's a crime?

5. I hear you.
I'm sick of the lot of them frankly. The nastiest ones seem to be a poor reflection on their candidate; whoever posted that needs to take a look in the mirror. I have about 10 people on ignore, and my list gets longer daily. I hate to do it, but why should my blood pressure suffer?
I really do wish everyone would attempt civility, but that's too much to ask for, I guess.

6. I'm probably as guilty as anyone at times. But I also try to say something
when I think a post is unfair. I don't need to hear about Edwards hair or mansions or how Hillary was a Goldwater girl, or any quote taken out of context, even if it's a fellow Obama supporter doing it.
