1. Pssssst
"Among the list of prohibited activities are “electronic advertising that reaches a significant percentage of the voters in the aforementioned state.”"

3. are you really arguing that the democratic national committee
was prohibiting all national advertising because some of it will go to Florida (that would be absurdly against the interests of the democratic party)? can you please give the citation so we can see the context of your quote?

Obviously they were talking about media that was primarily aimed at Florida electronic media.

6. You can't by ad time in New York because it is all getting eaten up by SuperBowl advertsing.

4. Define signifiicant
states including New York and California and Illinois.

It is simply cheaper to buy national ads then it is to by in LA, Chicago,New York,Philly (for NJ) and San Francisco.

5. pssssshiiiiiit
No Florida stations are broadcasting these ads.

This is the real reason Hillary is trying to say the pledge is off:
http://thehill.com/campaign-2008/obama-camp-suggests-clinton-will-break-no-florida-pledge-2008-01-15.html

She is already planning events in Florida.
She needs cover.
Saying Obama is the one breaking the pledge gives her this.

7. The Clintons have nothing better to do than to tear a man down...
...since they can't seem to find enough reasons to tell people why they should support Hillary. I am beginning to regret the hours, days and weeks I spent in 1992 and 1996 because I believed in Bill Clinton.

The DNC sanctions were idiotic, the voters of Florida have been neutered, so to complain about a little seepage into Florida from a national ad buy serves only to bash Obama some more...

8. Are they ads on cable stations?
Then that would be like saying that the candidates can't campaign at all.

Or are they more targetted?
