Rasmussen: "Clinton's status as frontrunner, once again, is as strong as before the Iowa caucuses"

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/rasmussen_markets/rasmussen_markets_update_for_democrats_new_hampshire_plus_nevada_equals_iowa

At 6:00 p.m. Eastern on Saturday evening, the markets estimated that Clinton has a 65% chances of winning the nomination. Barack Obama’s prospects have fallen to 34% (current pricing: Clinton 67.6% Obama 30.9%).

Those numbers put Clinton’s prospects for success back where they were before Iowa. When 2008 began, she was given a 65% chance of winning. That tumbled as low as 22% in the days between Iowa and New Hampshire. Following Clinton’s stunning victory in the Granite State, Clinton’s prospects moved back up to the mid-50s. But, with victories in both New Hampshire and Nevada, Clinton has gained back all the ground she lost in Iowa.

While Clinton is expected to win the nomination, Obama is still expected to win the next contest on the campaign trail. At 6:00 p.m. Eastern, the market data gave Obama a 77% chance of winning. Clinton is given just a 22% chance in the Palmetto state. The latest Rasmussen Reports South Carolina poll shows Obama with a double digit lead.

7. I think that's just fine. That is preciseley when she started to lose it.
This is very much a game of lowering expectations.

Americans don't really like "ineveitable winners". They would rather throw their support behind the longer shot.

This is NOT a good position for Hillary. She does much better when she is behind the 8-ball, eliciting sympathy.

12. Agree but she's already had a chance behind the 8 ball, it's all she needed.
The Iowa defeat was the best thing that could have happened for them

11. clinton is going to win the primary
i don`t see any way that obama can win given the state of america and the division in the democratic party. she`ll win the election because the democrats will back her although some will hold their noses but she`s better than all the republicans combined. as for the republicans they make it close but they have no one that can touch hillary. i see her presidency as a continuation of the the policies of the 90`s but with one hell of a lot less money to work with.
