The problem is that none of these big states are winner take all in the delegates. So Hillary could win most of the states on 2/5, but if her margin averages out to be just 5-10% or so, it's still divided and we go on till probably April or even to a brokered convention. But if Hillary wins most of the states, there will be enormous pressure on the delegates to respect the people's vote and get behind the winner so a deal will be worked out long before Denver. Most likely Obama will be offered a VP spot in the name of party unity and he will have to decide whether to accept or not.

1. Let me ask you this
Do you think a brokered convention is a GOOD thing or BAD thing for Lee Mercer, Jr.?

Now, having answered that, do you see his strategy? Didn't see that coming, did you?

2. A brokered convention is better than Hillary being declared the "winner"
Obama as the winner would be a little better, Edwards considerably better, Gore emerging at the convention even better still.

President Kucinich best of all :)

3. What's wrong with a brokered convention?
It's not like it would significantly increase the divisions that already exist in the Democratic party.
I think it might actually be a good thing in terms of building coalitions.

machine started their attack. He should go back to congress. Build his name up even more. Let HRC get her butt kicked against McCain. He shouldn't be attached to any part of that. Then he can come back and run again with his experience and do something that HRC failed to do which is WIN!!!

5. No Shiite.."winner take all" has been GONE since the McGovern-Frazier Commission
Before your time,of course.
"Run the table" not on your life, pal.*

Your conclusions appear to be cut & pasted out of a Poli Sci 101 book written in 1968. Frozen in time. National politics is an art form. Unfortunately, in the 21st century that art form has become graffiti,
End of lecture. Turn in your blue books.

*But, last week, before N.H. you predicted that N.H. Nevada and South Carolina were "Gone"

9. I think the chances increase if Bloomberg jumps in
I don't think Obama would serve as a Hillary VP. I don't think she would ask him either.

11. No state has winner take all in the primaries. We have a lot more to worry about than our
convention. Does everyone think the world is going to stand still while we playout our primaries. Worry about economic collapse, closed banks and 25% out of work.

12. I have done my best to be objective when it comes to when
hrc will obtain a majority or 2025 delegates. With Florida and Michigan out of the picture with no delegates I have had to push back my initial post from the mid to late February to now the middle of March......I could be wrong about the date but I am sure that HRC will be the nominee......

14. I am too Ben
Hillary will win. It's all a matter of timing. I'm hoping it will be decided when Ohio and Texas vote on March 4th. Ohio should clinch it for Hillary as she has the governor's endorsement.

But if it's still undecided, the next big date may be April 22nd when Pennsylvania votes.

16. Glad to hear that Obama controls the Edwards delegates
I don't suppose they have any choice in the matter do they? After all everyone who voted for Edwards really supports Obama. They are just his sock puppets.
