Nevada Democratic Party President is confused about Obama's spin about delegates

But some election officials said they were confused about Mr. Obama’s claim that he more delegates than Mrs. Clinton.

“I don’t know why they’re saying that,” said Jill Derby, President of the Nevada State Democratic Party, referring to the Obama campaign. “We don’t select our national delegates the way they’re saying. We won’t select national delegates for a few more months

3. AND HARRY REID DID NOT PROMPT HER TO MAKE THAT
STATEMENT, CORRECT?

They are counting on the fact the delegate in question will switch to a Clinton affiliation in April. The more this evening wears on the more fed up I am becoming with the DLC spin. I cannot believe it.

8. You didn't read the OP, did you?

The source of the quote was the President of the Nevada State Democratic Party. I'd say that she understands the process better than candidate supporters.

I doubt that she's confused.

17. She certainly seemed confused about the casino caucus sites
last week.

After reading several articles about her, her positions, her background, she sounds to me like a DLC dem, which makes it her job to be confused about anything that conflicts with the DLC party line.

22. Well, Kathryn Harris comes to mind
She had a Republican operative sitting in the back room calling the plays for her. She was the Secretary of State in Florida during Election 2000, and as such she supervised the elections. Max Stephanovich (something like that), a Bush* proponent and Republican operative, sat in a back room and quietly fed her her queues during the controversy.

So mere titles don't always tell the complete story....

I'm not aware of any similar connections in NV, but that doesn't mean much.

21. Only the usual DU liars would pretend this is "Obama spin"
Because it's the fact as reported by most mainstream media.

However, it is NOT accurate to represent these as final national delegates.

But nor should this party official act "surprised" or confused about understanding what happened...

24. "fact as reported by most" - "most" is not "all"
Therefore, it is an opinion, not a fact.

9. What spin. They just reported a fact: that Obama got more delegates.
No way are they trouncing around with a Victory chant.

10. Their "fact" is being disputed by the President of the Nevada State Democratic Party
I'd say that she trumps Obama's campaign.

15. All she is saying is that it's not official.
They don't elect delegates until April. That's a technicality.
