It raised expectations too high for Obama in the media.

2. Nah. Polls had Hillary up, and some polls had Edwards with 27%.
At this point, what matters is what happens on the ground.

3. If anything its embarrassing as hell
Edited on Sat Jan-19-08 05:29 PM by sunonmars
Imagine getting a huge endorsement and then its members vote for someone else, thats just the political equivalent of a smack in the mouth with a baseball bat.

She took the union vote over him in total and then took 7 out of the at large casino precincts. Thats just plain embarrassing

6. "She took the union vote from him ..." Not unlike Reagan snagged it from the Union Leaders in 1980?

4.  Union endorsements are worth bubkus - President Gephardt or Dean can confirm
The thing that confused me was the caucas system - at the workplace. It was the only possible way the union could get the members to vote their way. Other than that - never happens.

5. I saw an interview on CNN the other day
John King was asking two union members if, after the endorsement, that they felt obligated to vote for Obama. They both said no.

9. Yeah was just thinking that

Kerry the kiss of death or maybe it was the Reagan thing or the Yukka thing or the debate.
