Is it time for Obama to give it up after losing Nevada today?
With all the corporations and pundits behind him and big negative Hillary Clinton opinion ratings, Obama will not be able to beat Hillary in Nevada. Is it time for Obama to quit?

2. For my part, I just don't know if I can put the piece together once Fred Thompson
drops out of the presidential race.

We're just a jibbering mess here at our house on the likelihood of a Thompson withdrawwal after a dismal showing in South Carolina.

Send money and flowers and green bean casserol, please, if you have an ounce of mercy in you!

6. Yes, of course. Obama should drop out
after today. Clinton has no corporate backing and the pundits never touted her as inevitable. Edwards is doing so spectacularly well. HIllary was never ahead by double digits. She hasn't domintated virtually all the polls in NV up until the last couple of weeks.

Black is white. Up is down. itsrobertian "logic" rules.

to me. I already posted about it. And I won't be getting any headaches over it. Edwards is going to lose even bigger today. As always.

That's my ideal scenario. :) But it ain't happenin'.

Three good candidates. Let's allow more states to vote before we declare a winner.

25. I think whoever wins..
should be crowned. Why even bother with elections? Nobody cares if their votes are counted anyway, so why not save all that money for pet projects of the US Congress? Does anyone actually give a damn about any of the following?

http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/199/campaign.jsp?campaign_KEY=22334

Tell Congress: Pass Emergency Bill for Secure Elections in 2008

Now is your best chance to to help make the 2008 Presidential election verifiable. Please ask your members of Congress to co-sponsor the "Emergency Assistance for Secure Elections Act of 2008”, Representative Rush Holt's bill to provide emergency funding for paper ballots voting systems and random hand counted audits of the November elections.

The Emergency Assistance for Secure Elections Act offers states or counties reimbursement for purchasing paper ballot systems in time for the November elections, and reimbursement for conducting random hand-counted audits of the November election results.

The bill would offer money only for the most reliable voting systems: those that use voter-marked paper ballots, with accessible ballot-marking devices to serve voters with disabilities. By offering crucial funding, Congress can empower state and county officials to do the right thing in time for November.

Rep. Holt's bill could not be more timely. As the Presidential primary season unfolds, 14 states will use paperless electronic system in their primaries, either as the statewide system, or as the system used in many counties.

It doesn't have to be this way in November. Urge your Representative to cosponsor the Confidence in Voting Act. Take action now: please send the letter below (or feel free to edit as you see fit). Thank you!

Take a look at the different voting systems used in your state by county
http://www.verifiedvoting.org/verifier/

Then take a look at these studies, and see how easy it is to alter a state-wide election by anyone who wants to do it.
