I really can't believe the shit I'm reading here. You're all a bunch of juvenile idiots in my estimation.

Nothing you are saying is true and no matter who you are supporting. Do you really think you are influencing someones vote?

2. Actually the opposite is happening in my case.
It is looking more and more like I will NOT be voting in my third Presidential Election. I was leaning Obama, but with HRC's followers so rabid, she will likely win the nom and there is almost NO chance I can vote for her..holding my nose or not. Oh..and yeah, live in a borderline swing state thanks :-)

3. Not voting would really be an intelligent way to participate in a democracy.
:sarcasm:

Albeit, this country is not much of a democracy.

5. True
But at SOME point I like my vote to be earned..not just EXPECTED..and the HRC people act like it should be EXPECTED if she wins the NOM. It just sticks in this Nutmegger turned Virginian's craw. :-) And I KNOW I'm not alone.

I think that people who are campaign staffers should identify themselves as such. It's getting so ridiculous around here. I find myself having to take a couple of days off. I used to check out DU several times a day for late breaking news, but both the Latest & Greatest pages are filled with tit-for-tat posts by the campaigns.

Seems that "real news" sinks like a stone.

4. Lately I feel like I'm defective or something...
I don't care who the hell get's the nomination (yes I have a preference), I plan on voting for the nominee come hell or high water. The way I see it, a bad democrat is better than a bad republican any day, and it pains me to see the circular firing squad mentality. Eh' I suppose that's why Molly Ivins (god rest her soul) wrote that "trying to organize democrats is like trying to herd cats"

6. So I just just vote...
The party line when I don't trust, like, or even believe the candidate?...I thought only the GOP did loyalty oaths?

11. Well, since I made the point that a "bad" democrat is better than
any of the puke options I guess I am able to suck it up and vote for the person I think will be better for the country even if they aren't my first choice...I know that's practically heresy lately, but in response to your point, the only loyalty oath I have is to do my part to ensure that the republicans don't have another four years to fuck things up...:eyes:

14. It's kind of like the lottery..
if you don't play your number comes up. So you play. If you don't vote, a republican might get elected. After the last however many years, the odds of survival may be better if you vote. All that said, your vote may not even count. But that's a whole other story.

21. But how does NOT voting help us keep another Republican out of the White House?
I'm not supporting anyone either, but I'll support the Democratic party when election day rolls around. I may not like who I have to vote for, but at least I won't HATE myself for not doing what I could to keep a Rep from winning.

31. Because they do band together to vote for their nominee, the Republicans have
been able to take over our government, corrupt all three branches, and loot the treasury. There is something to be said for sticking together to stick it to the worst of the worst. We really, really, really cannot afford another Republican administration, no matter who our nominee is. We also can't afford to have a Republcian adminsitration for the next 4 years, because 2 or 3 Supreme Court justices are going to be replaced--and it will be by Opus Dei and Federalist Society judges if we let a Republican appoint them!

33. Congratulations, pingzing58! In a cesspool full of crap YOUR post floated to the top.
Wow, I have got to hand it to you THAT post actually made it to the top of the stupid heap. It is amazing that anyone could emerge as a leader in spewing shit in the pile of lies and outright crap that GD Politics has become, but somehow YOU managed. Congratulations. You win the prize.

I will tell you that I have MET LSK in person and sucked a few brews down with him--and he's the real deal here in Illinois politics. You, on the other hand, have got no profile, and I have no idea about who you are. I can ID WHAT you are based on this post you made accusing two long time RESPECTED DUers of being trolls, but not much more.

Gawd. I can't WAIT for the Primary season to be done so we can regain some sanity on this board. How many days after it is done do you suppose we'll need before we can ditch the idiots?

Any reason the post about candidates couldn't be kept somewhere else instead of GD?
