"And I was reminded that it is my obligation, not only as an elected official
in a pluralistic society but also as a Christian, to remain open to the possibility that my unwillingness to support gay marriage is misguided, just as I cannot claim infallibility in my support of abortion rights."

5. I've heard Indiana has one of the worst educational systems in America.

Any thoughts about that Indy or are you too busy going off to make another one of these out of context posts?

8. No, thats just the areas with minorities. I moved to an overwhelmingly white...
district and the scores are in the 90th percentile. My kids get the racial slurs, but the good white education. Thanks for the concern. And the kick.

10. Too bad we didn't have a change agent in the White House
sometime in the 90's who could have done something about the inequality in our schools. A lot of missed opportunities then...oh well. I guess twisting quotes taken out of context is more important to you than making real change.

13. I live 30 miles outside Chicago...they been Democratic for a while now.
There is inequality in schools because white people make it so. Thats all white people.

14. So the answer is to tare down Obama?
I don't see how this absolves Clinton's failure to do anything about the problem despite being the first black President.

15. education starts at the local level. it is based on race and income.
the President can do little to change that. Bill Clinton can't force the white people of South Bend or Gary to pull their kids out of private school and raise property tax to better fund the public schools.

16. He can change federal funding
to compensate for or lessen those inequalities. Hell, Bush passed federal legislation that dramatically changed the way schools are funded and operate. But Clinton was never about big change. Just little changes. That's why we don't need to waste another four years on missed opportunities with another Clinton.

17. I'll support the nominee whoever it is. funding for public schools will not...
change regardless. It will change when whites are the minority.

6. He's human and he's saying so. At least he doesn't preach platitudes.
I have no problem with this statement. Nothing wrong about openly discussing his struggle with his inner demons.

7. Don't bite, Obama supporters. Issues - great.
Out of context and undated quotes, just ignore them. Don't get into the game of dueling quotes. Doesn't move the conversation forward.

9. Are you saying that Obama supporters shouldn't make the decision
to respond on their own? They have to be directed?
What is this? High School? For fuck sakes.

18. As a Hillary supporter, I don't hear her saying things like...
Reagan was a good president and brought change...and I'm going to have Repugnants in my cabinet to tell me when I go wrong.

Or, that choice is a deeply moral issue--the morality depends I think on whether you are pregnant or not with a wanted child.

I am for the working man. Have a great minimum wage plan that will raise the wage .75/hr for several years topping out at 9.75. Thats when progressive state's minimum wage will be over 12/hr. Edwards wants to keep the disparity the same while claiming to be for the poorest workers.

Anti-corporation? With his 16 million investment in Fortress lending(subprime), Edwards talks so much swamp gas. Guess its ok for his investments in offshore corporation(Fortress--Cayman Islands)is good for him and bad for the people.

These two guys are both bonkeres. Obama should become Shuckabees VP and Edwards should go back to being a tort lawyer.
