E-mail from my Representative RE: CHENEY IMPEACHMENT

I must say, I'm impressed. I just fired off an e-mail this morning and already received a response. I assume these are "canned" responses to e-mails, but at least it tells me he's aware enough of the problem -- and his constituents' concerns -- to have one "on file". It's not wildly encouraging, but it's kinda hopeful...


Thank you for contacting me to urge the impeachment of
Vice President Richard B. Cheney. It was good to hear from you,
and I appreciate your taking the time to get in touch with me.

I share your concerns about the accuracy of pre-war
intelligence regarding Iraq and the veracity of U.S. government
officials in the representation of that intelligence. I support a
thorough investigation of these and other issues related to the
conduct of the war in Iraq. Although I do not serve on committees
of jurisdiction regarding these issues, you can be sure that I will
continue to work in Congress to hold the Bush Administration
accountable for its statements and its actions.

I am working with our national leaders to provide America
with a new direction. We must put our fiscal house in order and
end new deficit spending so that we do not pass on a crushing debt
to our children and grandchildren. I support policies that will
make us energy independent in the future, restore integrity to
public office, and protect our children and our families. I look
forward to your continued input on these and other issues as I do
so.
