... we called them "Pic 'n' Pack Catholics" - people who picked what they wanted to follow, and packed their religious rhetoric with references to only the tenets they found it convenient to abide by.

Typical case in point: A teenage girlfriend who was hoping to land a husband by getting pregnant. Her pick-'n'-pack logic: pre-marital sex wasn't really a sin, but using birth-control was!
