I know it's considered cool among some people to put on an angry face when it comes to Sen. Clinton, but explain what you meant when you said "the Michigan Democratic ballot is a sham that was rigged by Hillary Rodham Clinton, her husband and her supporters to give the nation the impression that she’s the leading candidate in Michigan."

As far as anyone can tell, there has been no "ballot rigging" by the Clintons or anyone else. In fact, Sen. Clinton kept her promise not to campaign in your state. It isn't her fault several other Dems decided to remove their names from the ballot. Also, keep in mind Sen. Clinton has maintained a leading position in the Michigan polls and, coming off a win in New Hampshire, there's certainly reason to believe she remains the favored Democrat in your state.

So, where's the beef?

Edited: New Hampshire

1. It's a pretty strange accusation.

He seems to be accusing her of "competing" in Michigan, simply because her name is still on the ballot. Obviously, she hasn't been campaigning there, so his assertion would seem to be baseless.

He then turned that into "vote rigging". Quite the leap of logic.

Wonder what he thinks of Kucinich.

7. It is hardly vote rigging. You do have to admire the political wisdom
that she showed by leaving her name on the ballot. I am not sure why Obama and Edwards had their names removed, but they probably now wish that they hadn't done it.

Assuming she gets a respectable percentage of the vote in Michigan, it will help with the "momentum" battle that seems to be so important early in the primary season.

5. They both screwed up on this one.
And it is the people who have their votes invalidated.

10. The DNC only upheld its rules which is what they were supposed to do
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 04:43 PM by Bodhi BloodWave
Rules that was agreed upon a long time before so the two states had ample time to bring it up earlier to try and fix any problems there was(and they had representatives when they were made).

The DNC tried convincing them to change their minds, gave them 30 days to do so, the state leaders didn't thus the rules was automatically enforced.

I do not blame the DNC for abiding by the set rules, i do blame the state dems for playing chicken with the delegates as their wager

4. Taking away Michigan's delegates was a Dem Party mistake.
But it is consistent with the view of leading pols of both major parties that votes belong to parties and candidates, rather than to the people. Because the MI Dem Party broke national Dem Party rules, the decision was made to punish the ELECTORATE of MI.

8. I agree that Riegle is out of line
I'm not a HRC supporter, yet I find this accusation more than a little bizarre, and it most certainly is pointlessly inflammatory.

It's just as over-the-top as Bill Clinton's comments about Obama. Everyone needs to settle down and be respectful.

to both clintons in the first and second year of his presidency and was there not to support health care but was so damn ball-less that he sided with the republicans....What a guy.......

Go back and look at this health care and see the voice less democrats and the only ones with balls back then were those that were born without a pair....
