Clinton's Statement: "we must seek common ground" - LISTEN UP
“Over this past week, there has been a lot of discussion and back and forth - much of which I know does not reflect what is in our hearts.

“And at this moment, I believe we must seek common ground.

“Our party and our nation is bigger than this. Our party has been on the front line of every civil rights movement, women's rights movement, workers' rights movement, and other movements for justice in America.

“We differ on a lot of things. And it is critical to have the right kind of discussion on where we stand. But when it comes to civil rights and our commitment to diversity, when it comes to our heroes - President John F. Kennedy and Dr. King – Senator Obama and I are on the same side.

“And in that spirit, let's come together, because I want more than anything else to ensure that our family stays together on the front lines of the struggle to expand rights for all Americans.”

7. Sounds to me like both camps had a peace conference

Maybe they realised it was all getting out of hand and that they both had to stop it.

20. Its fucking infuriating.
At this point my disgust for certain Clinton surrogates is second only to my disgust for George W. Bush. Hillary claims the high road while everyone who speaks for her wallows in the gutter. And no matter what her campaign says or does she knows (after NH) that another "emotional moment" will save her ass.

You know... it smacks of '00 & '04 when W used the evangelicals to get elected by telling them what they wanted to hear. Now we have Hillary... using democratic voters in the same manner.

All these veiled insults, and in the case of Rangel, a blatant "fuck you". But once again it'll be "oh... he meant something else and we have to take him at his word".

Fucking Aye! I dont (for the life of me) understand how people keep falling for this shit. It makes me want to give up on politics all together. Sometimes, I envy the sheep.

33. I'm trying to understand this
The Clintons call for a truce a day after standing next to Bob Johnson (loves republicans and social security privatization) while he makes horrible remarks, and now we have these new blasts from Charlie Rangel. Okay.

Pardon me while I hold back my praise for Clinton's latest release until someone starts walking the walk.

21. Now you know too.
Mr. Clinton refused to say whether he would vote for Mr. Obama or John Edwards if the race came down to them. "I don't think that that's fair to get me into that," the former president said. He did say he considered Mr. Obama more qualified than any of the Republicans seeking the White House.

30. That is not at all obvious.
The question obviously meant; "would support the eventual nominee, even if it isn't Hillary?".

26. And in what way is that refusing to vote for
the eventual Democratic nominee? It's not,it's refusing to say whether he would vote for Edwards or Obama should the race come down to the 2 of them.Your original post said he was refusing to say he would vote for the nominee. You lied.

31. Parse much?
If he were to say: "I'll vote for the nominee, regardless" it would
a) be the Democratic thing to do and,
b) constitute changing his mind about offering unequivocal support for his party.
