I can write in a candidate on the General Election ballot....right?
So if a certain circumstance happens, I can still feel great and write in Al Gore, right?

10. 55% of America won't mark a certain name on the ballot
even if it is already printed there.

7. you're serious?
seriously, if you want to fuck our election up by writing in a candidate who isn't running, feel free. but don't come back here and bitch and complain when the pugs win because you and others thought you'd be "funny".

Give me a fucking break.

11. I'm so trying to keep my blood pressure low tonight on DU
I appreciate your response and your reasoning, but, still, writing someone's name in who isn't an official candidate may, in fact, just make your ballot -- and all it's other votes -- ineligible. Kind of like writing Daffy Duck or Pooper Scooper, or something.

that's it for me and DU tonight. I really hate that my trips here are getting shorter and shorter and making me angrier and angrier. Not a good sign.

9. I love that fast food commercial where someone comes running up and orders for the people in the car
You give up your right to say anything, when you decide not to vote.

14. ...but it remains a vote for the Repug! REMEMBER that!
any vote not cast for the DEM is a de facto vote for the REPUG! Do you really want that? I may have to take 3 Tums, 2 Alka-Seltzers and a half bottle of rum, but I'll hold it down long enough to pull that lever for the DEM.

17. That's been my plan all along.
I never trusted that voters would nominate a candidate I'd be willing to vote for.

That's the most likely scenario if either Clinton or Obama is on my ticket in November.
