Our son Steve chosen to work the polls in the primary and general election

We are proud he will be observing the process and protecting our American way of electing those that hold office. Our primary is May 13th I think. All offices except president will be on the ballot.

2. Yes, you must be proud, and be proud of yourselves for instilling an interest
in politics in him. Good parenting!

5. The Nebraska caucus is Feb 9th for President only

All other offices will be up for election during the state primary in May. The caucus is not observed by the state because it is a party function. Steven Edward will be 33 on Jan 18th. My birthday is the 23. Our youngest daughter missed my birthday too. Hers is the 25th.

6. If I may be so bold
I saw your pic from the rally, and you certainly don't look old enough to have a 33 year old son. Happy birthday to all of you!!

Thanks for the explanation. I wasn't aware that states did this. Being an April primary, we have to live vicariously through all of you.

Is the caucus binding only on delegate selection, or are there other implications?

7. Don't forget Bobbi my oldest daughter is 35 :-) Notice my gray areas

Binding through the entire process. From caucus to county convention. Then to the state convention in June. And if you go to Denver, your still committed to your candidate unless they release ALL delegates to another candidate or the candidate of their choice. I remember being mad at Frank Church when he released his candidates in 76 to try and get the VP slot.

Steve's daughter Bobbi will be 13 in March.

8. Well, congrats Grandpa then!
Them good old midwestern genes at play. :D

Interesting on how Nebraska does this. I wish PA did a pre-primary caucus as opposed to a 250 person petition to pick our delegates. *sigh* I like the way that you have described it. Hopefully either you or Marta (or BOTH) get to go!
