By "boxed in," I mean viewed a certain way on DU, unable to shake the imagine. In 2008, it's something like this:

Clinton: DLC warmongering corporatist
Obama: Inexperienced, all talk no action
Edwards: "Post 2007" flip-flopper

I didn't pay too much attention to the 2003 primaries... what were people on DU calling those candidates?

1. Clark was a Republican mole.
And most of his supporters were Republican infiltrators.

4. Although not the tags per se, this was the gist of the derision...
Kerry: boring waffler
Dean: rabble-rousing spaz
Clark: Republicrat
Kucinich: Bolshevik imp
Gephardt: drab appeaser
Sharpton: performance artist
Mosely-Braun: corrupt and confused
Graham: uncle whatever
Edwards: upstart pretty-boy
Lieberman: moralistic snot

Things were every bit as nasty then, and not really any worse.

5. Kerry was a flip-flopper.
A notion that the Republicans were glad to borrow from us.
