Here is my logic in voting for Kucinich and not Obama..
I prefer Kucinich but could live with Obama. I previously thought that by voting for Kucinich, I would be syphoning votes away from Obama, thereby benefiting Hillary. This would not be good.

Then came this recount business. Remember in 2004 when the pugs clearly stole Ohio? Kerry (who advertised himself as a fighter) conceded immediately and then disappeared from sight for weeks. There were calls on DU for him to contest the result but neither he nor Terry McCauliff were anywhere to be found. Remember all the disappointed supporters who felt totally abandoned? Maybe Kerry was in an undisclosed location? Who knows. Kerry sank beneath contempt when he did this, imho.

Now we have a stinky primary in New Hampshire. The common wisdom is that the repugs are supporting Hillary because she would be easiest to defeat. It appears that someone (?repugs) stole it from Obama in order to benefit Hillary. So where is Obama? Why isn't Obama questioning the stinky result? Come to think of it, why isn't he challenging the phony email spam about his radical Islamist background? Why does it take Kucinich (who is not in a position to benefit from the recount) to challenge the dubious results??

Obama's inaction in the face of an apparent rip off reminds me too much of Kerry's. Even if Obama gets the nomination, will he roll over like Kerry did when they steal the general election from him? Seems like he might.

Kucinich's willingness to take this on makes him seem like the only viable candidate to me.

Comments??

2. Obama doesn't have much of a choice here.
You can't get bogged down in New Hampshire, as the "Sore/Loserman" when you have to get back on message and compete in SC and NV is less then a week.

4. Good point
Understand that he doesnt want to be tagged as a sore loser but how many of these can he allow to have stolen without objecting? Kerry stayed on point and avoided the tag of sore loser all the way to the end.

6. Good that Kucinich who has the time to deal with it
does what he is doing in re:New Hampshire.

Obama should do what's he's doing, which doing all that he can do to win the upcoming states.

They are a good team.

For Obama to spend the little time that he has fighting an election he came in as a close 2nd, instead of fighting to win this election for his supporters would be a stupid move....and would make me change my mind that Obama has good political instints.

5. Do you have evidence?
Do you think if anybody had evidence in Ohio that the new Dem Secy of State wouldn't have exposed it all by now?

I agree with you 100%.

And isn't it disconcerting to watch the total change of attitude with people in our party when this serious matter doesn't involve a Dem Vs a Repub? Kind of makes you wonder about how serious people are about the integrity of our elections when it appears that it is now their candidate who may be benefiting from election fraud.

I've noticed this same reversal of attitude of folks here on the DU pertaining to several other subjects as well. Like actually calling on impeachment. Like actually calling on the immediate and total removal of troops in Iraq. Etc, etc.

It appears to me that too many people are easily swayed by our corporate media and are unable to recognized the Mouseland syndrome we have here.

*sigh*

10. The Repugs are not in power in New Hampshire
How exactly could they have stolen it?

11. Ahhh
how exactly does it take the party in power in order to have election fraud? What difference does it make to the "corporate" party which armband their candidate wears? Which candidate is the most supported by corporate america and the military industrial complex?

Is there valid evidence to support a recount? With valid evidence why are you against supporting a recount?

It is only speculation on my part. I think her personal style would activate the republican base. Here is a picture of her with her friend Rupert Murdoch:

14. according to bradblog
there are paper ballots but most of them are counted in Diebold machines. The memory cards are collected by a company brad says is highly suspect. Even though the repugs are not in power, the business of counting most of the ballots has been outsourced to a private company. There is no chain of custody. According to brad, *all* the precincts which were machine counted all went to Hillary. *All* the precincts which were hand counted went to Obama. Of course there could be other explanations for this than systematic fraud but it is suspicious.

16. Kucinich frequently takes the principled path
Edited on Sat Jan-12-08 06:09 PM by NYCALIZ
and dems who wanted a recount should reward Kucinich for his courage in doing so but its unlikely they will because they want their cake (Obama)
