How does Hillary plan to win the GE w/out black voters?
If someone can tell me how she can pull of an EV victory without PA, OH, MI, MO, WI, etc., I would love to hear it. Cause with her racist campaign, a lot of black folks will be sitting at home.

Hillary would have a hard time as it is to win those battleground states anyway, but throw in a dampened black electorate, and it's lights out in those big states that are necessary for a Dem to win to win the WH. Right now, Hillary and Bill are digging a hole for themselves. They are trying to win the primary by waging a racist campaign against Obama. Who knows, it may work...but with what cost? Does she really think black people will come out in droves for her? If so, then they are really as arrogant as everyone thinks.

All I know is Hillary will NOT be the next president of the U.S.

Edited on Sat Jan-12-08 12:23 AM by BenDavid
win Illinois in the general election, and I said way back in 07 that a very talented person that might help her win Tenn. would be Harold Ford Jr. Tenn. has been the achilles heel for the Dems ever since gore lost it in 2000. If HRC won all the blue states that gore won in 2000 and kerry did in 2004 and add only Tenn. therein my friends lies the election of 08.....

Now to the person that began this thread is assuming the entire black population in america is buying into this idea that bill clinton and hillary clinton have all of a sudden went racist. WOW! When you take away the angry folks like jesse jackson jr that can spark anything up to a blaze, and let those mature people meet and discuss what was said and what was meant, then all parties come away but for one to suggest the entire black community believes Bill Clinton let along HRC said a bigoted comment or inferred Obama was inferior is one hell of a stretch......

This will be laid to rest by Monday afternoon....

28. Not all black people will feel the same, but enough of them will
And that's the key. If enough black people stay home this year, it's lights out for the Democratic Party on the entire ballot. Sure, there'll be some black people that have kissed Bill and Hillary's ass for years and don't care what they say, but in the community, on the radio, and in other black media outlets, people are infuriated with the Clintons like I never could imagine.

7. Actually, that'll infuriate black people even more if she picks a white VP
I've already heard many black people say that she 'better put Obama on the ticket' or else. Meaning, they'll stay at home. An all white Democratic ticket will be disastrous after we've gotten to sample Obama. If he does that, she'll lose.

14. So the black community is threatening the white community?
THAT's Obama's message?

GO FOR IT!!!! I say, take out full page ad in the New York Time and the Dallas Morning News. You tell the country that blacks won't vote for whites, not anymore.

I'm sure it will work.

It's a minority thing, you wouldn't understand. You always rally around your brethren when they're in trouble.

30. Don't you know Jena 6?
Black people from all over the country went there to rally for justice. So yes, we rally around other blacks when there is a perceived injustice or discrimination. The same thing is happening with Obama. Black people in the community are starting to rally around him cause of the perceived racism coming from the Clintons.

27. It's not about Obama anymore...I don't care if he can't win or not
It's about making sure Hillary and Bill don't succeed from their racist campaign. This issue is bigger than Obama. I could careless if no white person voted for Obama, but I'll be damned if I support a prejudice Democrat that ran a racist campaign.

Oh, now it's "her racist campaign."
You make huge assumptions. But what you're really threatening to do is boycott the elections if a black man is NOT chosen as the candidate. Blackmail, much?

But you go ahead and tell everyone that the Clintons have suddenly become racists because it's more convenient for lightweight Obama to battle demons than intelligent, competent opponents.

And that way you don't ever have to answer why you are not supporting, say, a black WOMAN for the presidency.

11. Actually...
The recent events have shown why Obama will be unelectable. White America had no problem voting for him as an "American" - now that he is making the fact that he is a "black American" the focal point, people will be turned-off by the millions. It's not a racist reaction, its a tired-of-being-blamed-for-sins-of-the-fathers reaction.

He is digging his own grave.

Best chance to win EVER, and we can help but put up two people who seriously reduce those chances just by being themselves...its no wonder we've had the WH for only 12 of the last 40 years.

24. Holy crap.....
When he didn't immediately tell anyone saying to to shut the hell up.

Even if he passively allows it to happen, he will be blamed for it, and he will lose.

Quit trying to quibble over semantics and deal with the issue - Obama's campaign is doomed if he allows every racemonger out there to hijack his identity and use it for the furtherance of their agenda. He may think it helps him now, so he says nothing - but that is enough to end it for him.

He has NEVER done what you say he has. I'm always suspicious of the wingnut talking points you're using about how people don't like being blamed for the sins of their fathers, but more importantly Obama has never done anything of the sort. Know what saying false things makes you? Yep. That's right.

Who do you support?

Do yourself a favor and scroll back through these threads on GD P since the NH results came out. That's when the racist overtones became a crashing cacophony here. You can also see who started it.

Black people are not stupid, if it is Hilary as the nominee, they will vote simply because after the last 8 years under Bush they may not want another 8 years under someone like Huckabee.
