8. Reconcile with voters, not a GOP candidate who hasn't even been nominated yet!
As Bicoastal said, are you stupid or something?

17. Obama should prove it then. Has he engineered any big compromise in Congress?

18. That's the opposite of what we're talking about.
That issue has absolutely nothing to do with my point, since we're talking about reconciling with disaffected voters, and not with Republican leaders.

You claim that Obama, to reconcile with voters, must reconcile with Republican leaders.
I claim that is actually not the case at all.
You demand proof in the form of examples of Obama reconciling with Republican leaders.

4. JFK was an inspiring man, but he was not inspiring because he could hurl juvenile insults.
Rather, he was inspiring despite that fact.

Um...yeah, it was. That was expected in '60. That would be embarrassingly puerile today.

Kennedy's inspiring moments were when he talked about universal dedication to a greater goal, and not when he cracked playground jokes. The fact that he was a "fighter" made his call to dedication and service more believable, but they were a supporting aspect, rather than a central aspect. It is the former that is his legacy, and not the latter.

9. Absolutely. It was part of JFK's genius.
Obama is a very smart guy, but he is not another JFK, or Martin Luther King.

11. You need a hobby.
I myself enjoy crochet, oil painting, marathon running and playing classical piano. For you however I might suggest Twister and Connect Four.
