Hillary's contention that she is the only one capable of being an effective President is absurd.

It's become a joke, and she's fast becoming a joke.

When she claims she is the only one of "action" or "substance" or "capable" it just makes her look small and petty. The American people are on to her, and they know she's not the only one "ready to lead."

She needs a new line fast, or all hope for her is gone.

5. ... oh, now you made her CRY!
;)

I simply cannot fathom that she truly was oblivious to the fact that a great many Democratic voters intensely dislike her, or that there's a darn good chance the sheer force of her willpower will NOT get her the Dem nod.

:freak:

11. Is she trying to appease the Britney/Paris crowd by openly crying?
She comes off looking LIKE Paris...

When she apologizes for her incredibly vile rhetorical question about America being ready for a black president, I'll consider apologizing for a Gen-Y stereotype imprimatur upon a boomer babe, who has to be clingy to a famous relative who happened to be president... for 8 years... and probably not giving up the smoking habit either...

6. unfortunately, I think she is correct...
First, the neocons will steal the election from "baby" candidates (Obama)...
The shrubs will swiftboat the newcommers (Edwards)...
and they will blockade anyone who wins.

Our best bet is the vision of a new person (Hillary) with the experience behind her of someone who can head off the same old story.

This has nothing to do with "feel good" or "policy" but is simple logic.

Listen to the voice of experience, but I hope I'm wrong. I remember Bobby Kennedy - a true visionary!

7. I agree.......
I saw the clip where she was on the verge of tears and saying that we have to change things and that we can't go backwards. Well the truth is, if ANY democrat is elected, things WILL change!! She is not the only one who can bring change.....

8. Wait, the "Obama landslide" was what, 38%? That means 62%
of Iowa Democrats didn't like Obama, yet Bush's mediawhores keep saying, "America has changed, Obama has charmed the white man."Any- body believe that?

Remember what they did to Harold Ford in 04? Who thinks America has changed in the last 14 months?

Oh and if you listened to Kate Snow on ABC this evening she said that HRC did not shed a tear. And this balony about hrc dissing mlk is another attempt by SOME obama people to try and claim some moral superiority over hrc supporters because you support obama who happens to be black....I could care less if he was brown, red, yellow, black or white, to me obama is a a man with a one page resume and not qualified to be president......one other thing obama is guity of playing the race card every chance his campaign gets....

I'm sick and tired of this race baiting by you obama people...most of you obama folks wouldn't know anything about racism if it were to slap you in the face.

12. So you're not ready for a black president either?
Edited on Mon Jan-07-08 07:33 PM by HypnoToad
Thanks for clicking to read this.

Hillary said the actual question, "Is America ready for a black president?". Now, who cares if Obama is qualified or not, it was an utterly haughty and ASININE thing to say. And, pray tell, which blacks would Hillary endorse? I mean, she's more qualified than anyone else to make such grandiose statements...

9. I agree; if America isn't ready for a black president, why should America be ready for a woman?

Gender is not an issue, but she's certainly got the balls for making an incredibly crude, underhanded remark.

10. She has a new line. Actually, two of them. Released in a heart-tugging video this morning.
She is the change maker and it is personal, not political.

Don't know where I have heard those before though? *ponders*
