This place is sounding as bad or worse than it did in 04. I used to post that the vitriol would carry over. It did.

There is still bitterness from 2004, and that is pretty bad added to the anger going on now. Not surprisingly, it is many of the same people doing much of the ugly posting toward others....the same as from 2004.

There is nothing worse than poor losers unless it is winners who do not know how to be gracious.

We like to pretend it was the corporate media who ripped Howard Dean apart, but this forum played a big role in it.

The same thing is happening again. At this time in the primaries there should not be these attacks....they will hurt all of us and they will linger for years.

We have a great group of candidates, but words we say now will remain for posterity.

2. The "neener neener" factor is suffocating around here...
Thanks for this reminder that we aren't sharing the kindergarten sandbox.

6. I've a stalker here, following me thread to thread and insulting...
And that person is all about Obama... I'm undecided, but I'm expecting full on neener neener mode any minute now... not sure how you can "win" against an undecided, but... still expecting:)

8. I said that in the OP
There is still bitterness here toward almost any Democrat who ran. It was attack central to hurt Democrats, good ones, all of them.

Aside from the over a thousand we donated to Kerry, we also sent an additional 200 to his recount fund. So if you refer to me, I do think he should not have conceded on November 3. Our donation to the recount never mattered at all.

There is bitterness enough to go around. As hard as we worked for Kerry, reordering signs for our neighbors when they got stolen, working at the polls....and more....I will never be considered a Kerry supporter because I criticized him for that.

That is exactly what I was talking about. The bitterness is still here. I often read in the JK forum stuff about those of us who ever questioned that.

Last time people were banned quickly when supporters of others were ganging up and alerting. They tried to fix it by not having rules and saying lower expectations.

Now it is worse.

9. Well said, madfloridian! K&R!
I thought I was the only one who thought it had gotten really nasty, especially with the ungracious winners. I'm beginning to see that that isn't the case!
