I don't think Hillary's tears do much either way.
Some people are going to see it as touching and emotional, some are going to see it as weak, some will see it as calculated. Realistically, it's unlikely to sway many minds, but rather reenforce whatever opinion people already had about her.

4. Well, it's not because she was cooking Bill's onions for dinner.

(Sexist? Arguably, but not definitively. By comparison, is her comment "Is America ready for a black president?" racist? Incontrovertibly.)

5. Uh... okay.
I'm just wondering what rock you've been living under that you haven't heard of this despite being on GD:P. And whether there's also room for me under there. :)

Apparently in a diner in NH today, Hillary teared up while talking about how hard it was campaigning, and about how she didn't want us to lose all the opportunities our country had. I'm paraphrasing, as I only saw a little clip of the video.

Its called "out of my house and away from DU". I was under it until 10 minutes ago, I would invite you to join me, but I'm there so rarely... ;)

Thanks for the info...

15. No tears. Her voice cracked the tiniest bit and all the jerks who criticize her
for being too cold and unfeeling are now piling on her for being too emotional.

3. I think it's a real gaffe.
It's not necessarily fair, look at Dean, but things like this could sway a few points, and in a tight race that could mean everything.

7. I think so too
I am all for people showing emotion but to the general public, I think, this makes her look weak and not ready to lead.

17. Amazingly enough, it's being blown out of proportion
the woman can't do anything right in the corporate media's eyes right now. This just makes me sad. And all the koolaid drinkers that think she is a) weak or b) playing it up are just as guilty.
