Shuster paints Obama as "afraid of Bush" in light of new Clinton attacks
Edited on Mon Jan-07-08 04:27 PM by K Gardner
This theme has been running on MSM most of the day now, ignited by Clinton's campaign attacks of Obama on the Patriot Act and on funding the war in Iraq. Campaign surrogates from Obama have easily discredited the inflammatory and baseless accusations from HRC campaign, twice in the past hour to my count, but now the talking heads are pushing it to the point that Shuster just charged that "Obama is one of the Senators who is afraid of President Bush."

This is an assault on reason and an assault on sanity. Obama's position is closely aligned with the candidate I supported until he dropped out.. Joseph Biden. While the troops are there, they must have armor and must have vehicles to protect them from IEDs. I find it abhorrent that the woman who voted for the IWR and admitted she asked no questions of Condi Rice and had no reason to doubt the administration's intentions, the woman who voted for the Iran Terror Resolution..has the gall to attack Obama. I've just turned off my TV and hope Obama supporters here can help refute this madness.

1. Even though Obama..
.. voted for the Patriot Act, he did
vote against the Bankruptcy Bill.

3. To my understanding, he only voted (with the majority of Dems) for the PA after
language in it had been altered to protect more of our rights.

9. ....
Voted NO on extending the PATRIOT Act's wiretap provision.
Vote to invoke cloture on a conference report that extends the authority of the FBI to conduct "roving wiretaps" and access business records. Voting YES would recommend, in effect, that the PATRIOT Act be extended through December 31, 2009, and would makes the provisions of the PATRIOT Act permanent. Voting NO would extend debate further, which would have the effect of NOT extending the PATRIOT Act's wiretap provision.

7. I didn't hear that.. I saw a lot of HRC bashing this morning, but it seems
to have turned this afternoon. Maybe the MSM is so panicked they can't figure out HOW to cover this story, LOL.

6. Is there a poll indicating where voters are getting their info in order...
to choose their candidate?

I'd like to see how much influence MSM is having these days, in which areas, and with which demographic.

24-hour cable has become a boil on our collective behind. (I have never typed or said those words in my life...sorry for the image)

10. Look for the media to try to bring
Obama's "balloon" down a little bit. Especially if he wipes the floor with Clinton the way the polls suggest. They want to keep it a two-person race as long as possible. Even though, if this were anyone else running...the idea that you could go 0-4 and still get the nomination would be laughable.

13. Indeed. They need something to keep jammering about and Lord knows
all the right is doing is putting people to sleep.

12. I think they are going to see massive blowback from this
going negative isn't what Obama's base wants to hear. I doubt she is going to change any minds, and she just may swing a few more independents from McCain to Obama in the process.

BTW, really missed Joe on Saturday night. He would have kicked ass in that debate.
