What tricks does CNN have up their sleeve? Why are they replaying the debate
in which their candidate gets creamed? Are they going to do some creative editing? Is James Carville going to give us his "expert" opinion? I don't get it.

3. Umm, ratings?
I disagree with your characterization of the debate but they would want to air it if they can no matter how any individual candidate did. They are a cable outfit, they don't drawer as many viewers as broadcast networks. This is easy and profitable programming for them, right before the NH primary and after Iowa, when the public if finally paying attention to the primaries.

7. This is Counter-Programming
I think it's great.

CNN is doing whatever it can to steal viewers away from the Fox Noise Repug forum this evening.

I heard that apparently Fox Noise officials are rather upset that CNN made the deal with ABC to rebroadcast last night's debate.

That's really all ... good for them this time.

9. Well it's about half neocon propaganda
especially those little "stories" that start each segment, so I guess they figured it'll help the neocon stooge no matter what she says.

10. I have no problem with rebroadcasting debates
Not everyone is going to see it the first time, or has access to the internet.

It's a good public service -- as long as it's not edited. It should be presented exactly as it was the first time.

12. Maybe they'll pick up audience from those who've heard about the debates but hadn't seen them.
I don't recall CNN's regular Sunday lineup being exactly a ratings bonanza, so they may not have much to lose.

Plus it's opposite Faux's Repub debates so that's probably another reason.

15. LOL... there you have it. And the Perverted Justice series on MSNBC is getting all the good ratings.
I know a lot of people who are watching it for the first time tonight, tho. I emailed everybody and let them know. I did warn them to go get a drink or cig when Richardson started speaking, however.
