I Don't Trust MSM - They Are Crowing Like Obama Will Win Iowa Handily - Yet......
I'm wondering if Obama is being set up so that if he doesn't win - they can dump on him and make him pull out.

I'm hearing that Repugs are going to caucus for him - I'm wondering why? Is it because they just like him and want change like most Americans or they just don't want Hil or Edwards? Do they feel Obama is beatable in the general?

I just get this sick feeling in my stomach when I listen to the talking heads on MSM.

1. ARG today has Hillary 34%, Obama 25%, Edwards third in IA
If that is correct, Obama's going down.

2. Yea, I noticed that too. I have CNN on in the background, and
all I've heard from EVERY pundit was Obama, Obama, Obama. I switched to MSNBC a while ago and it was the same thing! Even before your post I was getting disgusted that the MSM is trying to pick our President for us AGAIN!

4. The only cure for that ill
is to turn off the TV and fight for media diversity.

As long as the media message is controlled by those with a vested political interest, there isn't much you can "learn" from them. And it will raise your blood pressure.

6. They are pushing Obama, Obama, Obama
They don't do this without motive. Either they are setting him up for a big fall or trying to persuade the caucus goers away from Edwards and Clinton.
The latter is my thought, I don't trust them either.

It's not necessarily a plot.

8. Republicans will do whatever it takes to stop Hillary in the Primaries
I'm hearing that Repugs are going to caucus for him - I'm wondering why? Is it because they just like him and want change like most Americans or they just don't want Hil or Edwards? Do they feel Obama is beatable in the general?

I'd wager anything that it's because they'll do anything they can to stop Hillary in her tracks so she can't make it to the General Election. Otherwise, why on earth would Republicans caucus for the enemy?

9. They're caucusing for whoever they
believe will be easiest to beat. It's that simple. Thinking that republicans are all of a sudden vote dem if Obama is the nominee is fantasy thinking.

11. The M$M is working this thing
They are trying to get a three-way tie so they can spread it out and pick the candidates off one by one down the road until they have the easiest for the repugs to defeat later.

19. "Big money" would have to be in agreement...
...about who's best for big money. I doubt there's any clear consensus there.

Our media is certainly influenced by commercial interests, it's lazy, it's sensationalistic, but it hasn't all turned in Fox, with memos going out telling everyone what to say and do.

I get tired of all the paranoia about the invisible Puppet Masters pulling all of the strings.

17. The MSM and GOP both want Obama. And for good reasons...
The MSM will always favor Rethugs, so they want the lightest weight, easiest-to-beat candidate, which is Obama.

The GOP can only beat a Dem who they can "define" for the public, which is Obama.

And don't doubt that the Republicans are waiting with big grins for the Dems to nominate a black man, so they can bring out one of the biggest guns Republicans ever had: racism.

(The reason race isn't already an issue is that the GOP won't expose its racism until it counts.)

24. If Or When The GOP Exposes Its Racism It Will Be The End Of The Line For Them.......
this will rally the blacks and all Dems to get out and vote like you never seen. You ain't heard nothing yet from Jesse Jackson and the Rev.Al Sharpton - but if the Repugs pull the race card - they will bury the Repugs. "Nappy headed ho" slams - don't work no more in the 21st Century. All kinds of apologies will be requested for and made. They will make the Repugs look silly or sillier than they do already.

All Dems will come to the defense of Obama if the Repugs try to use the 'race card'.

18. The MSM is enamored of Obama because he's like a shiny new coin.
Wait until they end up sinking their fangs in him like they tend to do with those they elevate to new heights.

As far as today's results, I don't intend to drive myself crazy by watching the pundits.

I do think that Obama will probably win tonight, but that Hillary will still be our nominee in the GE. IA is no indicator of who ends up winning the nomination. The most current example being Bill Clinton, he never caucused in IA and came in second place in NH.

22. Bill Clinton Never Caucused In Iowa Because He Knew Harkin Had It.....
sown up - a favorite son. You have to also consider - Bill Clinton never lost in Iowa. Looks like HRC will. With the loss comes the MSM talking it up and swaying the voters down line. That didn't happen for Bill because he really didn't lose - his out was - he didn't even try in Iowa. HRC spent lots of money and time in Iowa. She wants to win. If she doesn't it will really put some nails in her coffin. Perhaps she can overcome them - but it depends how the MSM spins this and how much momementum either Edwards or Obama have if they win.

21. I know some pubs who genuinely like Obama
I can't explain it. And some of these realize that he is to the left of where is he running. Yet they still like him.

They say they "knew he was going to be a problem when they first saw him speak".
