The left "loves" Bill Clinton?

This is how stupid the RWnutz, especially those that listen to Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc... are. They actually believe this nonsense.
They spout off that Bill is a "liberal" and that the left "adores" him.
What utter nonsense and only proves the ignorance they spew.

Facts are that Bill Clinton escalated the war on marijuana, imprisoned a record amount of people, went after Doctors for prescribing it, did absolutely nothing to fix our health coverage crisis, signed NAFTA with no labor or environmental standards, signed the TelCom Act placing the mainstream media into the hands of monopolies like Clear Channel et al., forgave the Iran-Contra murderous traitors, hangs out with GB Sr, he is one of the founders of the DLC, his wife is backed by Rupert Murdoch....etc...

And the fact that the RWnutz hate him so much is a testament to their brainwashing. "Bubba" is much more inline with them then they realize.

To hell with the Clintons.
They had their chance and went corporate.
We do not need a continued family "dynasty" in the Whitehouse (Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton).
We need new and progressive thinking Representation in the Whitehouse.

1. The more they make out Bill and Hillary as "far left"
the more reasonable and "mainstream" their own wingnut positions are portrayed.

I do love Bill, he was very charming... and the real "Great Communicator". But I never liked his economic or social policies all that much. Still, I was doing much better in the nineties than in this decade... OTOH, some of his policies (like NAFTA) didn't really start hitting home until after he left office. And he didn't oppose outsourcing, so all those "post-industrial high paying jobs" that we were to get while moving manufacturing overseas materialized for a brief time... if at all... then they went overseas as well.

9. Is it left to object to shipping American jobs to overseas sweatshops?
The positions that even Hillary Clinton are paying lip service to now were branded as "naive nonsense of the far left" not too many years ago.

The poster who said that by characterizing the Clintons as "the left" the perceived spectrum gets pushed to the right was absolutely correct.

The Clintons are basically moderate conservatives on economic issues.

2. The left doesn't have to love Bill Clinton (depending on what you call left)
Democrats do, and thats what counts.

Between Monica, White Water and NAFTA he didn't do so well IMHO.... I will leave it at that.

I will edit to say that compared to what we have had in the last 7 1/2 years, I would obviously take a Bill Clinton any day.

8. No, the right wing talking points are:
1 Bill was a draft dodger

2 Hillary murdered Vince Foster

3 Hillary is a she-devil

etc. etc.

My talking points are:

1. Hillary buddies up to the Republicans too much

2. Hillary buddies up to the Republicans too much

(repeat)
