And I don't want to hear any job-interview evasions like "sometimes he works too hard." Every candidate has some serious flaws and has made some serious mistakes. In the spirit of recognizing that there is not a -single- snow pure, perfect candidate and refusing to tie oneself in embarrassing knots to justify the unjustifiable, reject the cult of personality so we can stop being so suspicious of each other. I'll go first, as I am undecided between Edwards and Kucinich:

Edwards's term in the Senate was lackluster and avoided controversy, including votes for free trade agreements that were at odds with his populist message in '04 and now.

Kucinich's floating of Ron Paul as a possible VP, whatever the meaning, was at total odds with his professed and practiced progressive values. His flag amendment vote defaces an essential right to defend a symbol which is meaningless when it ceases to represent such rights.

1. This will be most desolate, barren, lifeless thread in GDP history, won't it?
:P

2. okay
Obama takes safe votes, and sometimes conventiently misses controversial one's - which is smart, but it's not necessarily bold.

He's not an outstanding debater. At least, he's not as good as Kerry was. He may be as good as Gore in 2000 though, ie, passable.

He's too skinny. Eat a hamburger or something. :)

4. I don't like Obama's health care plan
Although I think it's marginally better than Clinton's or Edwards's, and all three would surely be better than what we have now, I would only be happy if Obama adopted Kucinich's plan.

6. Not sure yet if she is my candidate, but...
Hillary refuses to come to my house and massage my feet while I sip Irish Coffees... :D

(sorry jpgray, I know this is more appropriate for the Lounge, but I couldn't resist.)

8. I'm an Edwards supporter, and I pretty much agree with you about some of his senate votes
Some, not all.

But I do believe it is possible for people to change. God knows I haven't always been as liberal, and there are still some issues that I re-think.

I wish he hadn't voted for the IWR, but I support him now for his stand on the issues today.

9. Clinton's IWR vote; Obama can come across as naive at times
And that is irritating for a cynic like me. Together I think they compensate each other's flaws.
