3. Kerry had no
wide spread support at DU when Iowa was up to bat -- surprising that we missed a trend. I was a Clark supporter and was backing Kucinich until now with your observations I feel I will give my support to Kerry over Edwards (though I like both).

4. Let me see if I have this straight
We are not supposed to invoke Dean when speaking of our candidate, but it is OK to invoke him when vetting a broad brush attack against us.

Thanks. I'll get with the program.

14. Kerry supporter are taking the brunt of the arrows
because they are the front runners, the Dean people were taking the brunt when he was the front runner and were accused of being ever so cocky, the Clark people were called Repuke inflitraters when he was given so much press when he jumped in....on and on and on. Kerry has the most detractors now because there are fewer candidates and there is more disappointment since some candidates have had to drop out. Broad brush statements are inherently divise. Personally I don't see any more "snobish Pricks" Kerry supporters than any other candidate supporter, which is usually a select few and not the majority.

8. That behavior has certainly not been restricted to Kerry supporters.
There are a lot of very adamant supporters of most of the candidates here at DU. I think as you spend more time here, you'll note that behavior in a small fraction of each of the candidate's supporters.

before posting. That said, unless you have watched the debate for quite a while you need to mind your own business. Kerry and Dean supporters in particular have taken a lot of crap off each other in the last several months. Most of it was unjustified and many people get angry and pop off in the heat of the moment. Kerry supporters by and large are not disruptive or particularly mean. Nor are most of the other candidates supporters.

Woof

edit: last sentence for clarity

26. That's why they're called "front-runners"
Actually, the Kerry crowd has always been among the best behaved here, in my view. If you were around before Iowa and you didn't support Dean, coping with their insularity and arrogance was a Manwich-sized chore indeed.

35. Well stop acting like
Dean had an entitlement to the nominations, and everyone else will.

I have gone through over a year of having some of the filthiest epithets imaginable hurled at me by the supporters of one candidate alone, Dean supporters on DU. If I would post an article referring to some of Deans performances as Governor that did not cede political messiah-hood on Dean, 99 responses out of 100 would be vile, vitriolic personal attack. With few exceptions. Whether I editorialized my thoughts on the articles or not, the resulting attacks could were predictable and assured. It started with Dean supporters before any other candidate had actually thrown their hat in the ring for the candidacy. If anyone questioned Dean, the answer was personal attack. It never failed. Now Dean suppporters do not like the rather meekly voiced responses to them or their candidates.

They are being treated mildly, almost kindly now, compared to their treatment of the supporter of other candidates in the past.

I agree that it comes from all sides, which is why I edited the topic, it was silly. I was angry over how some Kerry supporters are acting towards Edwards, and it made me think about how Kerry and Dean supporters feel about each other. Of course I was painting with a broad brush, and it was immature to say the least. I hope there isn't any bad blood moving forward. In the end, we all share the same common goal.
