7. Here ya go:
"In the Illinois State Senate, this meant working with both Democrats and Republicans to help working families get ahead by creating programs like the state Earned Income Tax Credit, which in three years provided over $100 million in tax cuts to families across the state. He also pushed through an expansion of early childhood education, and after a number of inmates on death row were found innocent, Senator Obama worked with law enforcement officials to require the videotaping of interrogations and confessions in all capital cases.

In the U.S. Senate, he has focused on tackling the challenges of a globalized, 21st century world with fresh thinking and a politics that no longer settles for the lowest common denominator. His first law was passed with Republican Tom Coburn, a measure to rebuild trust in government by allowing every American to go online and see how and where every dime of their tax dollars is spent. He has also been the lead voice in championing ethics reform that would root out Jack Abramoff-style corruption in Congress.

As a member of the Veterans' Affairs Committee, Senator Obama has fought to help Illinois veterans get the disability pay they were promised, while working to prepare the VA for the return of the thousands of veterans who will need care after Iraq and Afghanistan. Recognizing the terrorist threat posed by weapons of mass destruction, he traveled to Russia with Republican Dick Lugar to begin a new generation of non-proliferation efforts designed to find and secure deadly weapons around the world. And knowing the threat we face to our economy and our security from America's addiction to oil, he's working to bring auto companies, unions, farmers, businesses and politicians of both parties together to promote the greater use of alternative fuels and higher fuel standards in our cars."

8. Obama is copying Clinton
The EITC was championed by Bill Clinton in the 90's. It is credited with helping many working families lift themselves out of poverty with a little help from the govt.

So was nuclear deproliferatio. Clinton put Gore in charge of the effort and things actually got done. While Obama's paying attention to the issue is certainly laudable, what has he accomplished in this area?

The rest of those "changes" are nothing more than campaign blather about how the candidate has "worked to change" yadda-yadda-yadda

9. God forbid we have a president like Bill Clinton without the baggage!
Here. You can read about other changes he's made: http://www.obama08-wa.com/?q=flyers_handouts

10. That flyer is a JOKE
There's only one accomplishment worth spending more than a moment considering - his work on ethics reform. Other than that, his "accomplishments" consist of getting good grades from a liberal organization or two, and his "working on..." yadda-yadda-yadda, as if "working on" something was an "accomplishment"

He is an empty suit

11. Ethics reform is Edwards' entire platform, so even if it WAS just ethics reform, that's pretty good.
But it's much more than that.

12. "Vote for Obama. He's just as good as Edwards!!"
doesn't make it as a campaign slogan.

And there's nothing more to Obama's accomplishments. He has a bare resume, which explains why you can't list Obama's "accomplishments". Heck, even Obama can't do it, if that flyer is to be judged

13. That's not what I said.
I said that's ALL Edwards has. That's all he talks about. And what has he done besides talk about it? He brags about taking matching funds when he only "chose" to do so after opting OUT of taking them and not being able to raise as much money as he had hoped. He was involved in a hedge fund and claimed he was just "learning about it." He's a phony. Obama is for real.

15. So then, what are Obama's accomplishments?
I recognize his work on ethics. Other than that, I see nothing of any significance and a good deal of oopying the Clintons. So much for "New Politics". I'd like to see some New Policies from Obama.
