First Ever: Old Farmer's Almanac New Hampshire Presidential Straw Poll

January 1-8, 2008

Results of the 2008 Old Farmer’s Almanac New Hampshire Presidential Straw Poll will be announced on January 8, 2008, on Almanac.com and in national media. The winning candidates from each party will have the following donations made in their name:

A day’s worth of meals (snacks included!) for a donkey or an elephant (depending on the candidate’s party). The lucky animals (who have yet to be chosen!) respectively reside at Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue in Tehachapi, California, and The Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee.

A copy of The Old Farmer’s Almanac for Kids, Volume 2, for every child at an elementary school of the candidate’s choosing or one in the town they now call home.

Vote once each day!

Keep this bumped so people can vote all week.

6. DP, thanks for the poll...the only fun poll I've seen that will have a good ending...
I took it over to dems.com and posted it there.

For all the fun from this poll, the numbers look pretty close to reality. Imagine that.

7. What other poll is offering treats for an elephant and a donkey?

I've got to hand it to the Old Farmer's Almanac for coming up with a great gimmick.
